Practice makes perfect, and I was getting close!

You decided to put me on break for over a year now, and now you're dragging me out of the beauty that is my Lady in space and you're putting me in some cold, abandoned city I can't get out of. Bones and Spock are there, so I can't complain (too much, until Spock drives me up a wall), but really mun, there's one thing we need to talk about.

I plan to find every gorgeous guy, girl, and 'other' in this city and see what kind of record I can start here. Normally, I wouldn't be bothered to point this out, but a year?? That's a long time for a guy like me. Besides, any good Captain knows you need to practice. It makes perfect, after all, and I've had a lot of it.

Also, you put me in a place with captors and in an abandoned city where supplies can be hard to find. Really, I could live without the Tarsus IV vibes.

The little girl Bones worried about so much, who he knew Bones hurt over every holiday they were apart, who he worked hard to try and get some transmission time for so Bones could talk to her even when they were light years a part. That Joanna.]

Whoa. Well, hi there. [An easier grin, even if he's completely taken by surprise. He's never met her in person, and she's grown since the last time Bones got a new picture of her.] What are you doing here? Where's Bones?

I dunno, I been watching to see daddy but I only sen you so far. Maybe I can stay with you till I see him! Can I??

Er- [He knows he owes it to Bones to take care of her, but what is going to do with a kid?!] Sure. You can stay with me until we find Bones.
