mayfield_rpg and Fourth War stuff.
To say that the actions of Kotomine Kirei and Archer were unexpected would be a lie. I knew full well the possibility of their betrayal. I should have kept my eye closer upon Kirei, however. That was my mistake.
What of my wife and child? [A moment of silence while the mun clues Tokiomi in.] ...I see. Do not feel bad for me, mundane. Aoi knew the life that she would be leading as the wife of a Magus, and that includes the dangers one must brave through. [What Tokiomi isn't saying outright, however, is the seething hatred he has toward Kariya for him being the one to cause it.] Though, I am a bit confused as to why you choose to withhold information of my daughter. I am sure she has grown into a fine Magus in my stead, and has honored the Tohsaka name as she was destined to.
...I am sure I will be able to see firsthand how my daughter has turned out when you have placed me in this Mayfield town. I am not going to reprimand you for the loss of my Magus abilities, and my inevitable place as a normal human. Tohsaka Rin is the current head and proper successor of the Tohsaka bloodline, and I am content in watching my daughter from the sidelines.

Uncurse her--now.
[...Let's just say he's gotten Rin mixed up with her prototype.]

I haven't placed a curse on anyone... [A careful look up and down and at the weapon before jumping to the obvious conclusion.] Lancer.

[He's not even going to waste time banter or commentary. Now that he's finally found the man who was the source of all his Master's troubles, he's cutting right to the chase.]
[...It wouldn't be Misaya who would be saved, but it would be one version of her.]

I have no curse placed upon my daughter, and I do not know of what you speak. I am a man of honesty [Hi lie, how're you doing?] and would not speak incorrectly of my own flesh and blood.

[He grits his teeth to the point that one could clearly hear the sound.]
So she entered into the War, because she didn't want to die. She summoned me. She tried so hard. And she...she was a great magus. I was proud to call her my Master.
[His hand clenches hard around his fake spear.]
...But not even that saved her. Your curse spread over her entire body and ate her from the inside out.
[He had held her, watched her do her best to keep from screaming. Watched her being strong until her final second.]
But that wasn't enough. It turned her into this...zombie. Don't worry--I got rid of it.
[He did for his Master the one thing he had not been able to do for another woman. But it still hurt him deeply to watch her die a second time, even though he had released her from her twisted state.]
That's what happened in my world. Your daughter died at age 16 trying to reach your impossible wish. I'm telling you now, undo that curse. Give up on the Grail. Be fucking satisfied that she's the best, strongest magus of what might be her entire generation, and leave her in peace! Otherwise, I can send you to the other world and you can apologize to my Master there!
[He's barely holding back from just stabbing the man in the face now.]

[His rant had left him feeling like he wanted to cry, but no--he wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction of seeing his tears, especially not this man. Instead, he just gives a harsh, barking laugh.]
It wasn't inevitable! You could have told her not to try for the Grail. Even if you didn't curse her to death, then she got cursed because of your demands. If you did want her to do your bloodline justice, then you should take a look at her and figure out how to cure her!
[He looks toward the man's staff.]
Is it a fight you want? Then come on!

Servant...?
[...Well, it was inevitable that Rin was going to be participating in the next Holy Grail War. But isn't there an odd feeling lingering in the air? Something about how the War occurred a bit too soon?]

Yes, my apologies father. It seems I have grown used to having a Servant around that I feel there's not a thing awkward about it. [ Allow her to explain. ] In Mayfield, Servants are still Heroic Spirits and they need to draw from the prana of a magus.
[ There's little need to inform him that the town can pull in anyone from any point in time: he's witnessing it for himself with their interaction. ]
Due to that, I have chosen the most perfect of Servants to be my champion. You would be proud of the decision I believe.
