I don't normally weigh in on moral issues but, I think you're doing a good thing here.

Do not do anything he tells you. He can't harm you and you don't want to bother with his realm, it's very sticky and full of corpses.

To be fair it shows a certain weakness in will on the part of the man who attacked you. But you have to show a strength in will and never bother with him again.

Yes! Sanguine thought a particular noble was far too prissy for her own good. So I was instructed to go to her party and use a spell that would rid everyone in the area of their clothes.
