Approved?!
Oh mundane, how could you?
I now understand why people like you are called what they are. I am about to be accepted into the most prestigious acting school in the country after years of hard work and this is what you do to me? I don't want to go. There is nothing magical about that place. Let me stay where I belong.

I hate you.

Her actions speak otherwise, crea-.. sir. Miss?
no subject
But yeah. Your Moon Dane loves you. She's playing you, so that means she likes you!

[ She crinkles her brow. This sir creature has some logic. ]
A pleasure to meet you, Homestarrunner. I'm Sarah.

Hi Sarah! I see your Moon Dane and you are not on best of terms. That's okay! Your Moon Dane doesn't call you moose all the time at least!
no subject
Your mundane calls you a moose? Why?
You don't look like a moose.
no subject
I look nothing like a moose!
no subject
[ Now Sarah is getting it! MOON DANE AND MOOSE. Her MOON DANE is very amused. ]
Maybe it's a nickname your mundane has given you? He must find you very endearing.
no subject
So where is this place where your Moon Dane is taking you?
no subject
She is taking me to a city with no sunlight. I don't know where it is exactly, but I also heard it is mostly empty except for its inhabitants. No birds, nothing!

Just think of yourself as a mighty animal if you hear your mundane call you a moose again.

Good luck Sarah! Save your twizzlers for me!

[ Frustrated Sarah is frustrated. Her shoulders sulk. ]
How do you get yours to listen?
no subject
[Re-l flips her hair over her shoulder. She is very clear about the way things are - in her mind, at least.]
Why don't use just refuse?
no subject
[ This concept appears to be frazzling her brain. HOW, YOU SCARY WOMAN. ]
Refusing accomplishes nothing, much like complaining does. I can either go to that horrible place and sit there until someone decides to save me or try to find a way out myself.
[ It wouldn't be the first time! ]

[Re-l has no truck with helplessness, real or not, but Sarah's enthusiasm is just a little bit endearing. A very little bit. Tiny.]
What's so bad about this place anyway? You might find something interesting. The worst possible outcome would be to be trapped somewhere dull and safe.
no subject
Not that I want to learn![ Sarah's gaze is a little more fearful. Scary woman + gun = bad. B| ]
There is no sun. It looks eerie, like something isn't right. I don't like being bored, but I am preferring dull and safe over that.
no subject
[Re-l might have picked up on more of Sarah's mood if the mention of the sun hadn't stopped her.]
No sun? That sounds like my home. The sunlight had was just beginning to come back when I ended up here. The real sun, not the Domes.
[Re-l realises what she just said.]
What I mean is there's nothing to be afraid of. Sun, no sun, it doesn't matter.
no subject
[ She winces slightly. ]
Don't you miss the sun at all?
no subject
[Pauses.]
No, that's not right. We didn't want to see it.
[She might be offended at the assumption that she has emotions at all, but Re-l can't help but like Sarah.]
I suppose so. When I left Romdeau, the world did seem very bleak. But the sun in Romdeau was a lie. Like everything else. That was why I had to leave. A sunless truth is better than a bright lie.
[Her smile falters for a moment.]
(Quietly) I wonder if they're alright.

I can see where you are coming from, miss. The realization of illusions come with a heavy price. It is nothing but trash and junk in the end, as shiny as they may seem. There is a reason why we have a saying, "Ignorance is bliss."
[ The bright look in Sarah's eyes grow dim and wistful. ]
... is there a way you can go back to check on them? I am guessing you mean your friends or family.
no subject
Sounds like you have some experience of trouble yourself. What's your story? And don't call me miss. Re-l is fine.
[Just for a moment, she remembers Vincent as she last saw him, half man, half proxy, smiling in the shadows. She blinks the image away quickly.]
Neither. Just some idiots I had to look after. Though Kristeva was with them, so even without me, they're probably ok.
no subject
I wished my brother away. [ Very to the point, Sarah. She points her gaze elsewhere, the memory somewhat embarrassing. ] He was taken and I realized my mistake. I had to win him back, so I did.
[ Sarah's gaze moves back to Re-l and attempts to offer her a reassuring smile. ]
I'm sure they're okay. You make Kristeva sound very capable!
no subject
Good for you for getting him back, though. You should always face your fears.
[Re-l tries out for nonchelant.]
Well, she did run the city for a number of years. I'm sure she can handle one cogito-infected child-model Auto-Reiv and a Proxy.
