Just apped at [community profile] exitvoid

All right, you turned the application in. Bloody good for you. About time I show up to sort this mess out (and I'm going to do a better job at it than my brother or that crazy mage, thank you very much.)

Now sit down while I list, point by point, all the parts that are wrong.

- I do not have an inferiority complex!
- I am not jealous of Garrett!
- I am not whiny!
- I do not complain all the time!
- I am not "a bit of a tit" and it's not a justifiable thing to say!
- I do too have charisma!
- I am not IMMATURE.

And last, but certainly not least, this is the worst journal name ever!

FIX IT.

You joined the one organization that wants to lock your brother up all because he didn't take you on one adventure.

I think that one action can be summed up in every way your mun described you.
tinfoil_angel: (Yeah)

Wait, bugger. I forgot there are some universe differences. In certain universes your brother is a mage. Still it stands that if Bethany were alive the group you are a part of would of most certainly locked her away or made her tranquil.

Oh double bugger.

You know what, here.

[He'd wave a hand and would show the events of the game had Hawke not taken him to the expedition.]

You would of joined the Templars had you not contracted the taint. You would of been part of the very organization that hates and fears mages. I'm sorry I snapped but it seems there are many differences between Carver Hawkes of different universes I'm not aware of.
tinfoil_angel: (Yeah)

[personal profile] tinfoil_angel 2012-04-08 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
It seems to me like you fell out of favor due to that one event. Or was it just because you were tired of being in your brother's shadow? Either way you did end up joining a group that would have all mages hauled away.

I showed you events as they happened by the way. Simply in another universe where the conditions were slightly different.

And for every Templar that believes in justice there is one that simply hates mages or abuses their power.

Like any criminal they should be locked away on a case by case basis. If you locked away people based upon the potential for them to do ill deeds then you'd lock up every man, woman and child.

[personal profile] tinfoil_angel 2012-04-08 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
You're missing the point. Those who don't believe in justice will become templars too. They're not the unquestionable source of good.

No government is. I saw into the minds of people like the Templars. What they saw in me was either a monster or a tool to be caged and prodded.
tinfoil_angel: (Who am I going to tell)

[personal profile] tinfoil_angel 2012-04-08 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
No you wouldn't.

You would just have to face the fact that your betrayed your family for whatever reasons you have that OBVIOUSLY have nothing to do with Garret.
tinfoil_angel: (Did we decide)

[personal profile] tinfoil_angel 2012-04-08 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
Not with the Grey Wardens but had you been the Carver that joined the Templars you would of taken to the organization that would of had your father incarcerated forever without any crime committed other than being born a mage.

I'd give up while I were ahead if I were you. Maker knows Carver never gets any of this.

But it's refreshing to see someone else understand it without my having to spell it out for them. It gives me a little hope that others will get it as well.

You're only proving my point, you know. I never said we should all be like that, but then trying to explain to you what I do mean never seems to get through.
magerights: (do you even listen to yourself?)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-09 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
You're still doing it! Maker's breath, all I ever wanted was for mages to be treated equally, not to be hunted and hated for what we are. Is that so wrong?

Well I'm in the same position as yourself. Well I am the closest thing to a mage in my world that is.

The only real difference is there are only twelve of us in existence.
magerights: (what? no sandwiches?)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-09 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Only twelve? I can't imagine what that must be like, with the whole world as against you as it is for mages... You have my sympathies.
tinfoil_angel: (On the verge of cutting you)

[personal profile] tinfoil_angel 2012-04-09 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
It was worse. Because looking at the mages from your world. Well I'm not saying this to be egotistical but one of us would be able to face a country made up completely of mages.

So imagine all of us scared, stupid teenagers being attacked before we realized the extent of what we could do.
