A curious purpose you have, mun. You speak of Elves and castles, magic and things I have read about as a child. My presence is elsewhere promised. There is little time for many things, and my father requests that I ride to Osgiliath... to whatever end.

Perhaps it would be kinder, to be whisked away to some land of magic, but my heart would be elsewhere.

Perhaps. As much as it may pain me to be away from Gondor, I imagine the hurt must be felt deeper by you, to be away from your woods.

I miss them dearly, that I will not deny. Yet I will not waste your time nor my own attempting to measure our woes- to lay them side by side to see which is the greater. They are similar in nature. That is enough.
