oh man here we go

Look, I think it's time we talked. Do you like having me around? You do? Well then, how about sending me someplace? It's pretty boring just doing nothing in here.

I'm not interested in hearing excuses about not knowing what games in Dreamwidth accept original characters; that's what research is for. You're disappointing me, Mundane, and that's not a good thing to do.

Let's do this: I give you some more time. Not much. Maybe ... thirty days. Find me a game by then -- you don't even have to have an app finished or sent in! -- or I begin collecting that time you owe me with interest.

Well aren't you awfully chipper about him. I suppose it goes to show that you don't know what you're getting into, insisting that he send you somewhere. It's like demanding to be whipped.

...Though perhaps you enjoy that sort of thing.
indiscreet: so fine and so distant (☦ crowded room full of empty faces)

Hmph. I've met men like you before. You're all so certain that you can control every variable of every situation. Even in sex.

Excuse me -- especially in sex.

But don't worry: if you beg long enough, I'm sure you're bound to get what you want, Mister...?

Should I know a John Williams? (( You'll have to excuse her; she's from 1932. ))

In any event, a pleasure, Mr. Williams. One finds few enough of the Kindred around this strange little Limbo we have here; I do relish these little opportunities. And men who call themselves successful tend to be...interesting. Regardless of whether or not they live up to the self description.

I'm Anna Demirovna. [ something of a Russian accent to her pronunciation of the name ]

Sparkling vampires immune to sunlight? That's not just ridiculous; it's almost unfair. Goodness knows I'd put up with a bit of unnecessary glitz to get more time out of my nights. I suppose I could join the Ordo, but I think I really would rather sparkle than listen to that lot.

But I digress.

Honest about your accomplishments, are you then? [ /chinhands ] I guess that makes you properly worth my time.
indiscreet: leans back in her chair (☦ where the dogs were hungry roaming)

[personal profile] indiscreet 2012-01-21 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
Not that I don't enjoy hearing the Ordo being snubbed, but I don't recognize the terms Camarilla and Sabbat, so I'm afraid I'll have to rain on your big-name parade.
indiscreet: oh really (☦ you'll never know)

Ventrue, Gangrel -- yes. I'm...familiar with Toreadors, but as a bloodline, and not a Clan.

The clans -- since apparently this is in need of some clarification -- are Daeva, Ventrue, Gangrel, Mekhet, and Nosferatu.
indiscreet: smirk (☦ and you laugh back)

Charming little religion you have there, but where the Kindred come from is hardly "basic lore," and I'll ask that you not insult me with stories. We in the Lancea, of course, recognize that it is Longinus who was first among the Damned, but if something like that were universally recognized our work wouldn't be half so difficult.

There are five clans. There exist such a thing as bloodlines, though I confess I've no idea how numerous they are. My sire may have been a fool, but he taught me that much.

I-- [ ...wait. lightbulb moment. ] Look, maybe there's been a misunderstanding. We get all sorts of ...odd iterations in universes, in this place. Perhaps that's what's going on.
indiscreet: gesturing (☦ and you believe)

It only takes getting dragged someplace new once to realize that everything you thought you knew about how the world works can be wildly subject to change.

It hadn't occurred to me that something like that might also be true even between those of us who identify as Kindred, but it certainly explains a great deal about the turn our conversation has taken.

And if you mean that the word "Methuselah" ought to have meaning to me outside a certain Biblical figure, then no, I haven't the slightest what you're talking about.
indiscreet: wary neutrality (☦ every winter was a war she said)

Ah. That. No, that still happens; I just wasn't aware there was a name for it.

Kindred are still Kindred, after all.

Mm, well, it's quite simple, really: as the potency of one's blood increases, so does the potency of one's...needs. It's hardly an ideal situation, though, letting yourself get bound to random neonates; I imagine that must be part of the necessity of torpor.

Or perhaps that is yet more evidence for the differences in our realities. That, and the fact that the Kindred I know very distinctly have just the five clans I named, with never such a thing as an Antediluvian.
indiscreet: interested (☦ make me a beast half as brave)

[ she whistles, impressed ]
Excuse me while I fail to envy your situation then, Mr. Williams. Kindred society as I know it is certainly something like heartless, but at least I don't have to deal with that sort of madness.
...Madness in multiple senses of the word, it sounds like.
indiscreet: neutral or intrigued (☦ born to be the woman I would know)
