[Sabriel's hand is reaching for the smallest of her bells- there are seven, in a bandolier across her chest, and a sword at her side. She can sense that the man in front of her is Dead... or maybe just being ridden by one, since every dead body used by one of the Dead starts rotting pretty quickly. But she just has to ask.]

[Normally, this would be the point that Sabriel gets out the bells and the sword and the Charter Magic and tries to send this guy to his final death. Everyone and everything has a time to die, and it's her job to make sure the Dead are dead. But since that's rude, she's not allowed to. Not yet.]

[Sabriel's surprised- she knows what a gun is, but generally, they don't factor into fighting the Dead. Mostly because even when they do work, they don't do much good when even the weakest ones can keep going with a bullet through their heads. She really doesn't want to test if her armor's bulletproof. She doesn't put the sword away, but she does rest the tip on the ground. She still has the bells and Charter spells to fall back on.]
