[ oh boy. deep breath: ] Well, err, I'm stuck in Canada. Only it's not actually Canada, considering no one's ever heard of the city we've all been pulled into. But the freaky monster part comes every night after the sun goes down and the sirens go off. Everything turns to rubbish; it's disgusting.

So, you're sort of stuck inside or have to fend for yourself in the dark.

'Course it's not safe, but I'm fine. I don't think he meant to anyway. We don't exactly have a choice if we get to stay or leave.

There are also aliens. Loads of aliens. ( no he's not rubbing it in because he knows full well she likes this stuff. 'course not. but then seriously: ) I'll trade with you.

When you say aliens, does that include the Doctor? [ maybe he left her for space. then, a slightly looong pause. ] Trade? If leaving was even possible, I'd say let's just take a holiday instead.

I just want to go home. ( he pulls a face. ) No. I'm alone. I thought, you know, here I am in space and the future, so if I tried to contact him the Doctor might show up to take me home, but he didn't. I don't know. But they're saying the Earth's been destroyed.

( and he is making a very good effort of sounding neutral and not worried sick about that. seeing as he is the only one who made it on the refugee ship. )

If you're in space and in the future, then I'm sure the Doctor is more likely to show up there. You know him though, he's never on time. [ ahh what is comforting. ]

It can't have been. I don't think the Doctor would have let it. And I wouldn't have left instead of you.

[ she would punch him in the arm if he was thinking that (stupid face, etc). not that she's super ms positive over here. she's already anticipating waiting at least two years for him to show up again -- that seems to be the norm. ]

Exactly. If he knows how to stop the universe from ending, then saving Earth, which he's done before, should be no problem. Unless you're in some freaky alternate reality where the Doctor doesn't exist.

He exists. Some of the people there have met him already, or heard of him. ( which makes it worse because rory is half-convinced the doctor could come if he wanted to. and just doesn't. ) Apparently he had you with him one time. ( or at least, she was there. and then there's nothing to add to that without bringing things up he likes to pretend to be 100% Over, so. raising his eyebrows like well then. subject change! )

Otherwise the place is alright. It's probably the most peaceful alien ship I've ever been on. And they have Jaffa cakes.

[ even so, she feels a little guilty hearing that, but it's not like she remembers it! but at least now she's convinced it's a different timeline because she would never let the doctor just leave rory on his own. ]

Stand in queues? ( after a moment of thinking because the answer is not much, actually. ) They have this ridiculous job system, I don't qualify to work as a nurse. So I've been working in a tea shop. ( :| ) And we visit new planets and things. Planet of the Pubs right now.

( he has to admit, it's not terrible, even if he can't do his job. he's just hellbent on not liking it because amy isn't there. so it's a weird tone of voice- half complaining and half ooh, look at what i get to do. )
