Best? [Don't mind the treasure hunter trying not to laugh.] I thought only my dad, uncle and Gramps boasted that. Though get ya on the need for adventure. I swear my mun has had me sitting in digital limbo way too long. Girl's gotta have some fun damn it!

And good luck getting them to pay ya. On the upside, mine does give me some nice toys now and then though. Still waiting for a game. Or hell at this stage I'd be good with just exploring an island somewhere. I'd me lucky if she'd put me somewhere exciting. I'm as dusty as the damn library I've been doing research in, without the fun of being able to see the ocean out the window.

If all three of them boast about it, then clearly neither are the "best". I have on the other hand saved the galaxy twice. That's why I am the best.

With dad, it's clearly boasting to try to get a date... Pathetic really. My uncle's probably saved Earth three times by destroying historical slash mythical places. Which as long as he leaves Atlantis alone, I'm okay with. I want to find Atlantis though.

And really... The whole galaxy? In what a video game? [Sorry She's never heard of you! But then again she's a pirate geek not a space geek.]

Huh. Alright. I'll be nice and believe you. Which you weren't to me. I'm Star-Lord, part of the Guardians of the Galaxy. We have saved the Andromeda galaxy two times and countless lives. We're helping anyone that needs it.

[She grins] That would be the one, and naw, he's actually fun. We've only met in passing, usually near the bar. You can hear him before you enter sometimes. [She actually isn't being sarcastic she's yet to talk to him in person.]

We got off on the wrong foot. [She rubbed her arm a moment before holding out her hand.] I'm Taylor, sorry get the asshole complex from hanging around treasure hunters.

Treasure hunters? Isn't that just a nicer word for looters? No worries tho, I grew up around looters and pirates.

Looters rob from recently dead. Treasure hunters wait at least a hundred years thank you. [She gives a mock pout] Ooh, so space pirates are a thing? I mean I'm guessing since ya know, Rocket's clearly not from Earth, and you did say you saved the Galaxy.

Rocket got a family, The Guardians. We are more than just a crew, we're lost people whom found each other.

Space pirates are a thing yeah. They usually target cargo ships though. Some are worse than others. The Ravagers, the guys I grew up with, they're among the better.

I wasn't thinking of adopting him, just saying if I ever con my uncle, gramps and old man to go to where I'm at, they'd probably get along. If I wasn't so into chaos, I would probably have just talked myself out of getting them there.

Sounds like modern pirates on Earth. I mean you have the bad seeds, but there are some crews that are decent. My surf family are a good crew, based out of Hawaii mostly, though they hit other places. Usually I work with them if I need an escape plan in the Pacific. Probably will never have my own boat though. Go inland too much to enjoy it, and paddleboards, give more of a challenge. [And thus the reason why her family is convinced she's 3/4ths fish]
