There are always cases that are worth investigating, Yagami. Always cases worth solving, and always cases which will need my mind. While you bring to light the modern advances in technology, I can only see that as a way to stack the cards in my favor; criminals which use technology as a tool lean on it like a crutch. The crutch can be taken away. Investigators who use technology as a tool can go without.

I have always believed that I was exactly the same person, just with more limited ability to achieve my goals.
