And here I was looking forward to hanging out with my dear brother in the afterlife. But alas here I am, brought back to the living. Or perhaps it's just another kind of afterlife? Intriguing. How much have I missed I wonder? Whom sits on the Iron Throne now? A Lanister? Maybe a Targaryen? Or perhaps even a Stark. There's much to find. Thou I must remind you, Scribe, about one thing; history do not recall those that fail.

Now with that out of the way, where to?

I won the throne... (Briefly.) But the Starks knew when to strike. They must live with their over-burdened consciences.

Then I suppose congratulations are in order for your victory lady Tangaryen. As for the Starks, they always seemed like a decent lot. My condolences for having to deal with their treachery, your highness. How'd it go for my Kingsguard Brienne of Tarth? Does she still live?

My victory was short-lived - as you presumed. (She hasn't forgiven them - nor will she until... Well. She isn't sure.) She has pledged her loyalty to Sansa Stark.

Sansa Stark? Interesting. I do not doubt that Brienne chose her allies with a good amount of consideration. Alas I do not know this particular woman myself, my own interactions with those northerners was through her brethren. Robb I believe his name was? Quite awful that not even your victory put an end to the war.

The Starks act as one. I don't know what else could be expected of a wolf pack.

(One with dragon blood can't even be trusted.)

I see no reason why the war will continue after my death. There is no one left to oppose them.

Better than brothers tearing each other apart I suppose.

My condolences is all I can offer. It's of little comfort I fear for when one have lost their life. That Throne brings nothing but trouble.

Marginally. (That is probably her bitterness talking, but so? Daenerys has no use for diplomacy.) You sought it too. Do you regret it?

I do not regret it. I firmly believe that I would have been a good king, unlike Stannis. What I regret is that I wasn't more cautious than I was. Perhaps my demise could have been avoided.

[He regrets not spending more time with Loras aswell but he'll not admit to that easily.]

I cannot say for sure as this is our first time meeting. (All of the Baratheons have a black mark against their name in her book.)

Ah yes. You were still following the lead of your husband back then if I recall correctly.

I know little about it. Besides being murdered by blood magic I suppose. I prefer leaving magic to the Seven.

Khal Drogo and my unborn son, Rhaego, were taken from me by magic. I had no defense for it until I burned the one responsible.

Unless you did likewise - meaning you burned your brother or the Red Woman - your death was inevitable.

It's a grim way of looking at it, but I can not argue with the point. I wasn't given a chance to avenge my death. As it usually is.

Lord Stannis was slain by Ser Brienne's blade. (If that is any comfort.) She avenged you.

That pleases me greatly to hear. Such treachery must be punished.

My brother was a cruel man. There are no excuses for his behavior, may he suffer in the worst of the Seven Hells.

As for burning his daughter... isn't that a common practice among the followers of the lord of Light, hm? Cruel and barbaric wielders of witchcraft appears to be their modus operandi.

I cannot argue when there is such gruesome evidence. (Yet the lord of light had helped...somewhat...against the Night King.) I would never sacrifice my child.

(Yet she had, hadn't she? By leading them into battle.)

It hurts me greatly my brother fell for their charm. I can not even begin understand what's it's like to lose a child, never mind doing so willingly. My heart aches thinking about it.

I'd see things for what they are. My brother may have been a skilled swordsman and tactician but he has always been cold and cruel. No love nor mercy may be found within him.

No, I never managed to raise a child. My path was cut short before then.

There were rumors that you preferred the company of young men. (He will find no judgement from her on that point.) We should be allowed to love whom we wish.

So the rumors have spread all the way to... wherever your house got exiled too. It wasn't... as bad as you make it sound. While true, my lover was 16 when I was 20. Not younger than that. It's a lesser crime than some I can think of. [He then lowers his head slightly.] Ay, love does not care for what others think and neither shall thee.

I had men in my council who traveled from Westeros to join me. (So all rumors traveled with them. This one seems a lesser evil.) I was younger when I was wed to Khal Drogo. The age isn't the issue; the issue is you were unlikely to have heirs.

Dragons? That's not... Every day you hear about such a feat. I imagine that they can be rather unruly.

Wars can last and last... Sometimes there isn't an ideal time to conceive. (If she could conceive at all, she would welcome a newborn at any time.)

I had three - all of them males. They were good sons to me and they listened better than some of my men.

That much is true. [He can't exactly disagree with her. But he wonder that if he had manged such a feat, how long would it be allowed to live with his brother on the throne?]

Men tends to have a mind of their own. Beasts and monsters are more simple minded. A horse does aa its told unless panic strikes. Though I've heard stories about dragons being very intelligent so maybe not always.

Dragons aren't simple. (She is biased in their favor, however after watching her three sons, she understands that they might be wiser than their human counterparts.) I rode my black into battle multiple times and he listened to my every order. He also kept us safe.

Dogs follow orders aswell and you can ride a horse and steer it into battle. That said I imagine a dragon can do more than just following instructions it's been taught. I'm no expert in the matter though. If you say that they aren't simple, you're probably right.

No, it's different. When I spoke to them, I felt I was speaking to beings that were greater than me - and wiser too.

(And they were preciously protective of any they considered family.)

Drogon, my largest, makes his own decisions and if he stands against me, there is nothing I can do to convince him otherwise.

That's certainly true. Perhaps I'm just being ignorant.

Sounds rather dangerous.
