[She's not sure her usual lie of "Doctorate in languages" qualifies given that he's not even from Earth, but maybe this girl doesn't know that yet.]

[While he was old enough, she kind of couldn't imagine him having the attention span for it, even if he only popped in for important occasions. So....]

Two questions; 1, what's he teach, and please do not say "everything," yeah?

And 2, how long have you personally known him to be teaching?

Anything he wants to, really; not really what he's supposed to teach, ever...

I guess he's been my tutor for a year now. I was following him a bit before that, though; he's been teaching long as anyone can remember.

[Okay, just because he was tutoring Adrien didn't make him a real teacher. Sort of like the time they were undercover and she was stuck as a lunch lady--]

Did he make you serve chips at the school as a lunch lady?

[She's going to smack him.]

[Still, tutoring for a year? She'll admit, she's a little impressed with him. He only lasted 6 months with Adrien, and that was trapped, without a TARDIS, without anything better to do, and only because Adrien's father is a control freak psychopath.]

[Oh wait--]

No wait, you said he's tutoring you? So you're a student? At University?

All right, what's he supposed to be teaching? On the books.

Actually... never mind that. 'm pretty sure he wouldn't stick to genre anyway, you're right. [Like when he was teachers and humans, he never taught what he was supposed to then either....]

Can't really complain, can I? I wasn't even a student before the Doctor got me into University.

[There's sort of a pained look for a second at that.]

That's how I wound up serving chips, actually. [Wry grin.] The Doctor was um, teachin' for about a week, and he couldn't get me a job as even a secretary. [Eyeroll.] I dropped outta high school, missed taking my A-levels in time, no chance for uni.

[Grins softly.] So how'd he decide to get you to be a student?

I guess I smile when I don't understand something? He said he noticed me.

[Closes her eyes and nods.] Most people frown. [Herself included.] He would.

But that was it? Did you always want to be a student or somethin'?
