Great. [She mutters, leaning in so he can do his faux conspiracy mood.] As long is not a very dangerous alien.

[She grins as she watches him hop. He looks happy, so he can take care of himself. She knows he's strong and smart despite being so young. But if he hasn't changed from the one she knew, there are times he bites more than he can chew.]

Well, the best you can do is to ignore them if they come back.

So if you aren't a knight, what do you do?

You know the usual teenage girly stuff. [Youko waves her hand dismissively.] Sometimes it involves going incognito to instigate rebellions to expose corrupt court members. Other times I'm busy promulgating royal edicts or leading armies against pretenders to the throne. The worst is putting up with endless hours of ministerial debates about the current agenda. Whatever is expected of an emperor to do these days.

Largely the latter, if I'm to be honest.

Huh. That sounds if they are very confident in their own abilities, or at least that they assume to be better than their enemies. But my experience has taught me that luck is a factor in everything.

And that is the truth. If it weren't for my luck, I would have become a flat breakfast cake ages ago! I've learned to trust in the obstinacy of goats.

I get that. I'd have probably died on the mountain road if wasn't for sheer luck and my stubbornness to refuse to.
