So let's see if I've got this straight, Mun. You had already transferred all of your other journals over to this new site before, except mine. And then you suddenly want to pull me out because there's a lot of our younger selves showing up?

Sounds like you're just bored again. I've told you before; Kimiko Tohomiko isn't anyone's play thing! You better quit before I get really angry.

[Well hey Kimiko. Say hi to a shocked-looking Jack in Xiaolin warrior robes.]

[Her eyes narrow, observing him.]

Is this supposed to be some kind of trap? Because really, Spicer, this isn't very convincing.

[Great, even the Kimiko from the future isn't form his universe!]

No. It's an alternate universe thing. There is a pretty good chance you won't believe it though.

[She thinks about it for a minute. Stranger things have happened, after all.]

So, in this "alternate universe" you're not Heylin?

Not anymore. A while after the Wuya incident I did the usual thing of trying to steal the Shen Gon Wu. The minute I get there Master Fung stops you guys and just out of the blue says I just revealed myself as a dragon like you guys did. I'm the Xiaolin dragon of metal.

So a quick search on the net has me believing we're still missing one. Anyway it's a really long story but you guys sort of grew on me and I've been living in the temple for just a little under a year.

None of that. Probably because of how it happened to be honest. You guys did something that made me stick around. It's sort of a long story though if you want to hear it.

Well after Master Fung said I was the dragon of metal we were confused for sure. And most of you guys didn't like the idea. It was Raimundo that stood up for me, kind of obvious he understood second chances and being a villain and all that.

Even then I still left but you guys had warmed up to the idea I guess so you came to my place. I wasn't in the basement for once so you guys came up stairs. I was raiding the fridge and you guys were about the confront me I guess when my parents started talking to one of their friends about me. They were being really nasty about it too. Before I could get you guys out of there you all stormed into the parlor.

I was too stunned to even do more than watch.

Your parents? You don't get along with them?

[Well, that would explain a lot of his motivation, but dangit, she does not want to be understanding!]

Yeah they never really got my fascination with robots and called me a freak constantly. Even to entire dinner parties. I was never the socialite businessman they wanted me to be, so they never really treated me like their son except for things they felt they had to do like give me a present every now and then.

When I left for the temple they replaced me pretty quick with Katnappe. Treated her like she was their daughter all along and financially cut me off.

Hm.

Well...it makes sense, but it's still hard to believe.

Well I could prove it. I've got some handle on my element.

[When he did a row of metal spikes would burst out of the ground but moved in such a way that they wouldn't hurt anyone.]

[She looks a shocked to say the least. Even the Jack of her time can't do anything like that.]

Well...that's convincing of the powers at least.

Yeah. Took me forever to be able to really use my powers though. I kept relying on the jack-bots for metal until you guys helped me figure out there is metal everywhere.

There are even minerals in water that could be made into metal.

[He feels pretty awesome right now and he seems just, happier than the other Jack. He wasn't the little ball of childish hate and evil his counterpart was.]

Still...this is super weird, you know?

Yeah, kind of is if you grew up with me being evil forever. Me? I remember you guys giving me my first real Halloween and Christmas.

Omi must have been pretty excited about that. He's always hoping you'd turn out good.

Oh yeah definitely. I feel bad that the Omi from your universe is so skeptical because of alternate me.

You...well, he has let Omi down too many times.

Yeah. That's pretty much what I got out of my conversation with past you and Omi.

You've run into us here?

Yeah. It really surprised me when you guys started verbally attacking me. I literally just got here and two of my best friends were convinced I was the most evil thing ever.

Ouch. [She winces a bit at that.]

You can't really blame us though. It's kind of what we do, you know?

Yeah after I figured out they didn't know the situation I didn't feel hurt though.

Did they believe you?

Not really, not until I showed them the same thing I showed you. Even now they're not totally convinced. I did give Omi a little show of faith though.

Oh? And what was that?

I offered him the button to the Jack-bots.

Yeah, sounds a bit like my mun. Although if you ask my mun, muses are there to be their playthings.

Mine can say it all she wants, but it doesn't make it true. No way I'm going to cooperate like her other muses.

[A flare of her usual temper lights up her face before she flicks her fingers at him. A small ball of fire forms at the action and hurtles towards him.]

[Jack gives a high pitched shriek and dives out of the way.]

[And now she just has a has a smile of satisfaction.]
