I do not understand.

Why would I require a lightsaber when Excalibur is a superior blade? [ Clearly, this is Jedi Order is nothing like her Round Table. ] I am aware that the former is more circumstantial appropriate than my sword, nonetheless I do not see the gain in downgrading my weapon for the sake of aesthetics.

That swords like an excellent sword, in that case. [And he knows a lot about swords. He makes about fifty of them per fight.] But I've never seen a reason for attachment to a particular blade, so I can't comment.

It is not an ordinary blade. [ it's made of dreams, glory and hope. ] I suppose that makes it unfair if I fight against someone armed with a lesser model. I would not want to have an uneven match, if that's the case.

True, underhanded tactics are to be discouraged, but equipment can't be truly equal across both sides.

That is correct. I would fight an opponent who did not posses my weapons, however that opponent must also be equipped with divine mysteries. Even if they are not the same rank or range, to fight someone who wields a firearm against my Excalibur would be as dishonourable as to strike a disarmed foe.

I disagree. If an opponent wishes to challenge me, it's up to them how they conduct themselves. If they want to fight with fists, firearms or fangs, I'll comply. You can't make decisions for anyone, least of all your enemies.

I would not choose for them, I would choose for myself. I would find a weapon that is closer to their level.

I simply can't recall ever seeing anything glorious in killing. It's just death. I've been told honour exists in it, but I can't picture it.

It is something difficult to explain to anyone who was not born and raised in the same context than I was. It was the way of life for warriors in my time.

Death was preferred over dishonor.
