I am quite fond of Newt if you must know. [His blue eyes are sharp, unyielding.] His treatment was deplorable and I hope he finds happiness in the United States.

[Then, musing...]

I believe he will if the past remains the same. [He is purposefully circling around another subject, expression stony.] Timelines are curious, are they not? Nothing is stagnant and one change can transform the future of an entire world.

Hmph. So you say. I may not have liked so suddenly finding myself in this life, but I can't say as I can argue with the results. People respect me, the pack has acknowledged me as the leader with the ol' man gone. You're sure I can achieve such results playing by your rules?

They never will fear the howl. Being a Werewolf does not make you immune to Magic. Even if you manage to kill one victim or ten or twenty, there will be someone with a wand to stop you.

Remus Lupin is far too good of a comparison for you as you are now. [Those words are cold and clipped.] I hated that he had to hide his nature, but he never let society make him bitter; he never let what others thought stop him from pursuing his passions. He will be remembered as a hero. Your father and perhaps yourself will barely be recalled.

[There's an almost feral growl that escapes his throat as his anger spikes. Oh, you touched a nerve there, Albus.]

We'll see about that. The same could be said of any Wizard, anyone can be brought down by a wand. I'll bring the strength of the pack to a level it's never seen before - then we'll just see whose name time erases. Whatever it takes, I will lead my pack to greatness.
