I am quite fond of Newt if you must know. [His blue eyes are sharp, unyielding.] His treatment was deplorable and I hope he finds happiness in the United States.

I believe he will if the past remains the same. [He is purposefully circling around another subject, expression stony.] Timelines are curious, are they not? Nothing is stagnant and one change can transform the future of an entire world.

I have long thought our world should work side by side with yours. Secrecy becomes an issue in so many cases and those who are gifted with Magic are often treated poorly. Then there are the problems that arise when a Magic user forgoes all boundaries in their desire for power. I mourn each Muggle who perished in confusion.

[He tilts his head delicately.] Have you shown any signs of Magic? They might surface as strange events, for example. Have you saved yourself and not known how? Have you made objects float or fly?

I find it strange that Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has not contacted you.

One change can have a ripple effect of sorts. By undoing that which I consider negative or tragic, I could be doing more harm than good.

The laws exist for a reason. That particular set of "rules" I happen to agree with.
