She raises her hands for emphasis and then she holds up one hand, bending her thumb towards her palm so she is showing the number four.

Oh yes, she has been left alone for four years.

[She frowns in confusion. This is not a child she has foreseen and yet...

There had been another. One she couldn't see. Her expression is clear: who are you? Or, rather, what is your name?]

[It is very strange, to see your mother when she is likely younger than you are. Even so, Liadan knows this woman - this girl - better than she knows almost anyone else in the world.]

[Sorcha, meet a kid learning sign language. His head tilted curiously, he draws a Y sign from his head, then twirls his raised index finger.

Just in case, he mouths:

[She doesn't know sign language. Sorcha does her best to communicate in her own way and she watches his lips, dark head tilting.

The question is easy to answer, however. She shrugs. Who else would be with her?]
