Apprehensive about apping (Canon is: Hannibal)
You just couldn't let me be could you? If you had to send me anywhere, why couldn't it have some nice, quiet place out of the way where I wouldn't have to bother with anyone. Somewhere with a lake or full of rivers, but no, you think it's best for me to spend what little free time I have, wandering caves full of monsters!?
There's something sadistic about you. I've spend long enough in your head to know it. It's unsettling to say the least.
[ Will's growing more and more frustrated by the moment, ever since the application was handed in. He doesn't like waiting, especially not when it's something he's not very happy about in the first place. ]
... You're sending Winston there with me too? ....
[ Annnd that's Will walking off. Seriously annoyed with his mun. Oh dear. ]

[ Will paused. Daring a slight look at the woman he was talking to. Avoiding as much eye contact as he could. He didn't recognise her. She was just a kind, concerned stranger? ]
Uh and yes, Winston is my dog, he's eh going to be accompanying me in my travels into the great beyond.
[ Will sound sarcastic even though he doesn't mean to. He's just frustrated and trying to keep it together. ]
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- I mean... My name is Will and I eh I hope you've not had the displeasure in finding out you're being sent away for someone's entertainment?
no subject
[She smiles, noting his lack of eye contact. But Margaery won't push him. She even laughs a little at his sarcasm.]
Well, I certainly hope things aren't too bad for you and your dog. Perhaps he will help you maintain a level head and keep you from becoming too sad. Better than facing it alone, eh?
Pleased to meet you, Will. I'm Margaery. Thus far I haven't had too bad of a time, but that could change soon enough.

Honestly, I'm hoping that we don't make the cut. Just a few days left to go then I find out if I'm going to be living in that place or not. I guess... Yeah, I guess having Winston there would keep me grounded... Just don't like the idea of him having to face monsters and other dangers just because I'm being made too... I'd rather suffer alone than have the ones I care for going through the same.
[ Again, Will only slightly looks her in the face, eyes bother him so he tends to avoid them as much as possible. An awkward smile and nod of the head is offered when she gives him her name. ]
It can all change in a beat of the heart... None of us are safe... Not when we're dangling from the strings inflicted upon us by sadistic puppeteers. I hope for your sake, Margeary, that you remain safe and sound.

[She tries to hold a sweeter smile when he half-looks to her. Trying to encourage him that there's nothing to fear with her.]
Poetically put. And accurate, unfortunately. I have found that attempting to remain positive in the face of dark circumstances helps ease the pain. When all else fails, playing the game to win also makes you stronger and able to overcome more obstacles than you may have originally thought possible.
[There's more to this golden rose than pretty petals, that's for sure!]
But I thank you for your concern.

I've tried to remain positive in the most darkest of circumstances, believe me... I can't. I just can't do it. Not when I already know what's going through the minds of the wicked things that await me...
[ Shaking it off, he doesn't want to frighten her away by sounding crazy. Still, he's thankful for her concerns and it's rare that anyone notices the compassion and heart he has, and she's only known him for a moment. ]
You're em accent... I can't quite make it out. Where did you say you were from?
no subject
[She laughs softly at his question. Not mocking, it's just a long story.]
You may not have heard of it. I've encountered many who haven't. I'm from a city called Highgarden in the country of Westeros. Have you heard of it, I'm curious?
no subject
[ Will didn't mean to be rude or to shut her idea down, but he's struggling to think of anything that could pass as a good enough distraction at the moment. Secretly, he'd wait in hope with his fingers crossed that something would come along, but he still had his doubts. ]
I can't say I have, I'm sorry. Though- [ He smiled, only slight and amused. ] -and forgive me if I offend, but it almost sounds like something from a Medieval festival... That and the way you dress like someone who LARPs... It suits you though, the whole Maid Marian look you've got going on.
[ He's rambling, so he silences himself. ]
no subject
[But she tilts a brow at the second statement, confused.]
LARP? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the term... but you're right, my realm is one of swords and soldiers, horses and dragons. It's an interesting place, you might like it, Highgarden is especially peaceful and prosperous.
no subject
It eh, mean Live Action Role Play. But I'm sure that also means not a lot to you, huh?
[ A smile there. ]
Yeah, Highgarden sounds nice, peaceful is always a good thing. Any lakes or rivers there? I'm a great fisherman. Would be a good place for a vacation... I'm not real good with horses and I've already had a run in with a Dragon before, wouldn't like to go there again... You are talking about actual mythological creatures when you say dragon, right?
And not just crazy people who eat paintings and bite you with grandmas false teeth?no subject
There are rivers, yes. Jewel weed and water lilies grow near the banks of the river, it's beautiful on a sunny day. I think you'd find the fish of Highgarden sweet and fresh to taste.
Yes, I am indeed referring to a real dragon - the great scaly beast with wings.
Because the Dolarhyde version is downright terrifying.no subject
I'd like that very much. Nature is a beautiful thing. Calming, don't you think? Heh, you're tempting me with such sweet words.
[ A smile then, as he managed to glance her in the eyes for more that a moment this time. He was just starting to feel somewhat at ease in her company, yet when he took full notice of just how striking her pale eyes were, how gorgeous her face and beautiful hair... Will found himself feeling anxious, almost bashful as ridiculous as it sounds. Slight colour to his cheeks. ]
Wow, I eh... Yeah, would you look at that, you actually distracted me for a couple of moments there... A real Dragon huh? Can't imagine what other beasts and creatures roam this Westeros. You're making me seem boring by comparison.
[ An awkward laugh, nerves getting the best of him. Actively trying to avoid looking at her no, so that he doesn't stare. ]
no subject
Well, should you ever find your way there, you're more than welcome. The orchards too, they're very peaceful, often I would hide there among the trees when I wanted time to myself. True, there are plenty of places to hide in Highgarden for those who don't wish to be found.
[Margaery giggles slightly at the tint of his cheeks.]
You're hardly boring. I'm sure you have plenty of excitement where you come from, too! Even without dragons and White Walkers and the like.
no subject
He hated how his brain did this, turned something nice into something horrible. ]
I'd very much like to visit it some day. All I'd have to offer from when I live, would be lakes and woods, covered in snow and leaf. The air smells earthy and the wind bites at you, really makes you feel alive.
[ A laugh uttered under a breath as he remembers fond times spent fishing in said lakes. ]
Well, I do get plenty of excitement in Baltimore. Just... Not the kind you'd like to have often. Um, white Walkers? You've lost me there I'm afraid.
[ Will didn't take long to focus on her mind. She seemed so nice, so sweet but there was something devious she was hiding about her nature. It didn't bother him, they'd only just met after all but there was something under her nice smiles and gentle voice. ]
I'm sorry I keep- There's something about you. You don't feel real to me heh ridiculous I know... It's like you float like a feather in the air, too soft and delicate for this place...
(ooc: sorry for late tag! Will got into his game and I was sorting out his ooc stuff. I really love your Margeary btw! I'd love to rp with her more often! Would you like to do a meme or a PSL with them at all? )

[But all the same she smiles, and tips her head a bit to the side.]
Highgarden would be happy to have you. I, in turn, would be happy to show it to you. Seasons there are...a bit different. At least that's what I'm told. It's far south, so even the minimal winters that Westeros has seen are even less intense in Highgarden. We are apparently still waiting on the great Winter that the Stark clan always warns of.
I prefer warm weather myself, for that very reason. The sweet smell of ripening fruit and blossoming flowers. Summer storms and rain are unlike any other as well, if you ask me.
White Walkers...hmm...where to begin...? Well, many think they are a myth. Bedtime stories to frighten unruly children into behaving. But, evidently, they are very much real. When men die beyond the Wall that separates the cold north from the Seven Kingdoms, they are said to be revived; brought back from the dead and unable to die again. They turn white from the cold and frostbite, and their eyes turn icy blue.
[Her smile is gone, talking about the White Walkers. Margaery gives a slight shiver and rubs her upper arms.]
They are...not creatures one hunts for pleasure...
[She tilts her head again when he says she doesn't feel real. Her bright eyes are wide, curious. Her soft smile is back again.]
Shall I take that as a compliment? 'Too good to be true' almost? Perhaps it is our differing backgrounds.
[She reaches out and gives his wrist a playful pinch.]
Did that feel real? [She giggles.]
((ooc: It's all good! Glad you got in - your Will is GREAT! You make me want to re-watch the series again lol! But thank you, that's so sweet! I'd absolutely be up for a meme if you have one in mind, or a psl works for me too! I'm all about AUs if that's your taste, if not it's fine! :) ))

[ A small laugh, a genuine one at that, left his lips as they parted. Eyes close for a moment in a long blink as Will pondered on exactly how different the climate of Margaery's home world might have been. He could almost picture it from her word alone, she made it easy for him to imagine and for once in his life, Will was focusing on using his overactive imagination to muse up something nice, something he actually enjoyed thinking about.
He's expression turned to concern however, when she went into great description of the White Walkers. They didn't sound all that good and if they were in fact real in her world, Will dreaded to think of what they'd do, especially to someone as sweet as Margaery. ]
Hopefully you can avoid them. If I could, I'd venture to your world and see what I could do about them. Can't promise it would be a lot but surely trying to understand their motives would be a start?
[ Will jumped at first, when she reached out and pinched him wrist. His eyes wide and alert, looking her straight in the eye. A red tint coloured the tips of his ears and speckled like claret wine spilling from a glass over the bridge of his nose to flood his cheeks. It took him a moment before he smiled, then laughed, rubbing the back of his neck a little awkwardly. He's not all that used to physical contact, be it as little as it was. ]
Yes, haha, I eh, I think that felt pretty real to me.
[ He laughed again silently to himself yet his shoulders danced as he did so, touching the slight pink mark her nails had left before smiling over at her. ]
I'll let you take it as a compliment, like you said... Too good to be true.
[ Clearing his throat, his smile fading out as his nerves and the awkwardness of keeping their eyes locked started to pull at his impulses again. She was sweet, too sweet, and now Will would have to look out for her as he could feel a connection growing. ]
(ooc: You should watch it again it's an awesome series! I'm still waiting patiently for GoT's to start back up. And I would LOVE to do an AU with you! I've not done one with Will yet, but I'd be more than happy to! IS there any kind of AU that appeals to you most? )

Your secret is safe with me.
[She looks confused for a moment, then it dawns on her what he must think and she nods slowly.]
Ah...so you think that the White Walkers are capable of true thought. I'm afraid you've misunderstood. The White Walkers, legend tells us, were created long ago by the Children of the Forest in the spirit of vengeance. They were angry at my ancestors, the Andals, for their butchery of the forest and the trees that made their home. The White Walkers then evolved and began reproducing themselves.
I'd say their one goal is what it has always been: The absolute destruction of humankind.
[Her voice and expression are grim just then. While Margaery is considered by many to be bubbly and bright and almost naive, she is in truth very astute and cunning. While she has not yet come to her grandmother's level of scheming, Margaery is clever and has superior deduction skills on her own.]
[When he jumps, she looks guilty. Perhaps she had moved too forwardly, too quickly. She feels bad for the motion now, even if he smiles and laughs it off. But, if she's being absolutely honest about it, she rather likes the way the blush tints his cheeks.]
A compliment it is then. Well, at any rate, I hope that I have been of some comfort or pleasant distraction to you.
((ooc: Lol I've re-watched it almost three times, surprised I don't have it memorized :P I'll pm you with au details!))
