On mun's reaction to seeing Star Trek Beyond [possible spoilers]
I am glad that you enjoyed the movie but I do not like Scotch. You know this. It was made by a little old lady in Leningrad. Why would I want to drink it? Scotty can have his little old lady drink.
[Someone's a little protective over his drink.]
He thinks it's a drink for a man? You know vodka is a drink for a real man.[He scoffed.]

What do you mean, sir? Got it off my hands?
no subject
It was damn good. Thank you for smuggling it aboard.
no subject
Of course, sir. You're welcome. [Did he smuggle it aboard? He can't even remember.]
Scotty is the one who likes Scotch. You like it too?
no subject
It's nice to have something from Earth once in a while though.

[He doesn't drink little old lady drinks.]
Maybe next time I shall smuggle aboard some vodka. Then you can try some of that and see the difference in quality.

Good man. I will no doubt have to be shown the error of my ways. I came form a backwater town in Iowa, so once you've had the worst, everything tastes pretty great.
no subject
[He sounded mildly offended. Back in Russia everyone his age drank.]
Have you tried vodka before, sir?
no subject
And Andorian varieties really don't hold a candle to the Earth labels.
no subject
It's always good to drink with others and not on your own.
[The Russian way.]

I will neither confirm nor deny drinking on my own, Ensign. But I will take you up on that offer.
I'd also offer to reciprocate, but Iowa isn't exactly known for it's stunning distilleries of quality brew. Might recommend a few beers I'm partial to, though.
These two should get drunk XD
[As in try and out drink you with the vodka and not get drunk.]
I have to warn you that I am not a light drinker, sir.
Lead the way!
[Jim's always the first one drunk out of his friends anyway. Spock barely feels it ever and McCoy drinks like the Southern Doctor he is. He's used to it.]
Re: I shall!
[Nope. He's actually pleased that Kirk thinks this way.]
We will see who can still stand after finishing the bottle.
going to see beyond tomorrow :)
I certainly hope you are off duty, Ensign.
Re: have fun!
[He wouldn't be drinking if he wasn't.]

[What was this Ensign's name again? Chankov....Chirpoff...?] If I may ask, how is vodka superior to scotch exactly? [Pike might be opening a can of worms with that question.]
no subject
Because it is made in Russia. [Obviously.]
no subject
Technically it's made by the food synthesizers.
no subject
The ship's vodka is good but does not compare to the real thing.
no subject
[Usually the captain was a martini drinker, him and Dr. Boyce.]
Still, better than the dehydrated food space explorers had to put up with.
no subject
[But, to be fair, ex-Borg can't handle their alcohol (or synthehol, for that matter).]
no subject
[What was she? Some sort of robot lady?]
Why do you dislike it?
no subject
[She didn't expect to be asked why.]
It causes many species to become inebriated—quickly.
