Though I have to wonder what role I take in your timeline, but you do not have to talk about it if it is uncomfortable.

He likely won't attempt to send me anywhere until he knows more about me and my timeline.

I do hope wherever your mundane sends you isn't too difficult.

Even if it is hard though I imagine you will meet kind individuals willing to help you.

[Asriel is torn between recoiling in guilt and throwing himself at his father. Instead he opts for the middle ground and just stays fixed to the spot, trying to remember if there was ever a timeline he was in that resembled this.]

I... it's a long story. [He brings a hand to his forehead, trying to play off his confusion as a headache or something.] I'm fine, dad. I was just... surprised by that outfit.

Where I am from I am the royal scientist. Not the king as seems to be the norm. That role belongs to Sans.

While it may be confusing perhaps the best way to think of it is that we have a larger extended family.

That sounds... nice. In my timeline it's Undyne that's captain of the Royal Guard, and Sans and Papyrus are the Snowdin sentries.

That does seem to be a fairly common timeline. I can imagine Undyne being suited to her position as captain of the Royal Guard, but also causing quite a bit of trouble.
