[He straightens up a bit, tail flicking over his shoulder.]

Kurt. What is yours?

[Road shows no visible concern for his tail or blue skin.]

[His nose wrinkles in confusion as he tilts his head.] Fun?

It is ... interesting, to say the least.

You are not the first to make that joke, but I still don't know what a 'smurf' is.

[Too bad it's lost on sheltered little Kurt. It's still a good joke though!]

Road Kamelot. Is that better? [So dead pan she is.

Lucky for Kurt, Road can conjure up an image of one in his mind.]

Kurt blinks rapidly, jaw dropping in slight shock.]

I understand the joke now! ... I do not sing though. [More like he's far too shy to try.]

[He doesn't think you're joking, Road.

He is, however, going to lift his hand to his face and rub over his markings.]

They are scars. I am not scaly!

[Road floats over, far closer than she needs to be to see his scars.]

That's ... an odd reason to stab someone.

[Kurt goes rather rigid, large yellow eyes dilating.]

They were done by my own hand.

[Road will ignore that statement to grin at his.]

Why did you do that?

[Despite how close Road is, he doesn't seem too obligated to move away.]

Each one is a mark for a sin I have committed.

I want to touch them~

[And if he lets her touch one at all, in the slightest, he will have a flash back of that sin.]

I'm not sure about that ...

[Yeah, he wouldn't be too thrilled to be remembering any of those, but it's a bit late for that; Road's close enough to touch him.

It's a flash, almost like a blur at first, but everything comes rocketing back; the cage fight in Germany, Angel, the burning of the other mutant's wing. He can vividly see it and if he tries hard enough, he can almost feel it - the aching pain of harming another.

Kurt rears back, his chest visibly constricting when his breath catches in his throat and he suddenly drops to his hands and knees.]

[He crouches there for a moment, trying to regain his bearings because how did that just happen? Once he's righted himself, Kurt scurries backward before getting to his feet, tail thrashing wildly and his fangs bared.]

She just smiles sweetly at him. Perhaps TOO sweetly for comfort.]

['Try' being the operative word. Not like he could go very far.

He blinks rapidly and straightens his stance again, obvious bewilderment overtaking his features.]

[Her smile grows darker, but still sweet.]

[He's just narrowing his eyes again because he really did not like having that flashback.]

I'd rather not. I don't enjoy fighting despite what you saw.
