[He doesn't really know how to process everything that's happened, things he doesn't remember doing but knows will occur in the future, but...] I am glad to have finally set things right.

[Dean's of the impression that there could've been another way. Somehow Cas wouldn't have to be stuck seeing Lucifer for the rest of his next however many thousands of years of life. He's knows it's moot and there isn't anything else that he could've done but lying to himself and Cas is the only way he knows how to deal with it.]

[Meg's constant yapping about their relationship to Emanuel had been exaggerated truth. Dean just wasn't the type to admit that.]

[This is getting way too emotional for him so he'll just be cracking a joke now. That's the best way to curb the awkward tension.]

[Castiel frowns for a second before a faint smile creeps into his expression. He knows that Dean's avoiding the bigger issue, but for once he's thankful; there's nothing to be done about the past, even if it's his future.]

I suppose that means I'm no longer a virgin.

[He's not holding out hope, but his words are genuine.]

[He smiles for a moment before the expression fades, and he realizes that he's hurt yet another person in his crusade for Dean's happiness.]
