[It runs too! Thyme pads along behind, thinking this is a new game. However, the shelf is a bit high. She meows, stretching up with her front paws. Too faaaaar, whyyyyy?]
[Annnnnd Bernard isn't coming down. He knows that look. That's the look of a cat looking for a new toy or a snack and he doesn't feel like becoming either.]
I think we-we're having a communication is-issue.
I had a mouse version of charles xavier once, I should have dug him out...
[She meows again, turning in a circle and coming to sit in the same place. Obviously thinking, calculating...
Jump.
Thyme hops easily onto a box nearby, then hopping onto the ledge next to that, then walking carefully along the narrow ledge towards the shelf. A precarious position but she keeps her balance well enough. Now the mouse is closer, she can stick her pink nose close to sniff curiously.]
[Thyme moves so quickly (as cats tend to do) that Bernard doesn't have much time to think. He scurries to the other side of the shelf and then realizes that he has run out of room to, well, run]
N-n-nice k-kit-kitty.
[He isn't a fan of that nose - he's even less a fan of the mouth under that nose.]
Hmm, I admit my dear friend Cinderella has much more experience with mice and cats, but don't you worry, Bernard. No cat will get you, I'm sure your writer would never allow it.

Yes do you consider yourself a character, written into the next story?
