But Anakin... Her heart lurches for that. How far will be fall, and she isn't there for him. Yet her attention shifts.]

[That made Leia smile. Knowing that her mother trusted Bail - her adoptive father - was good news.]

[Her mother's name was beautiful. It suited her.]

Luke never changed his name. He still went by Skywalker. I became Leia Organa.

[She smiled at her mother - her biological mother, who was actually standing with her, talking to her. It was amazing.]

Ben Kenobi probably thought that no one would bother them on Tatooine.

[Leia smiled back.] I was surrounded by a lot of good people.

Whose first words she never heard, and whose first steps she never witnessed.

A daughter who loved someone.

There is so much Anakin in her though. She can see that... And she wonders how Bail handled that. He was a very good man, but, well, he wasn't quite as stubborn as Padmé herself could be.] I am glad. Love... Love is unexpected, but it is something wonderful.

[She kept her voice neutral, because she didn't want to sound accusing or angry. None of it was her mother's fault, and besides, she was Leia Organa because of everything that had happened in the past.]

[Her gaze, flickers, softens, and she gives a squeeze on her arm. No doubt it would be hard to imagine the man that Padmé had fallen for, especially if all Leia knew was what was left of him.]

He... He had his own way about him. Even as a child. I thought him utterly strange after our first meeting. [Still, her lips do twitch, clearly finding it a good memory.]

But yes. It was never my intent, especially since we both knew attachment was forbidden for Jedi. Yet... Yet he is the other part of me.

[Leia tried to imagine that. How would her mother feel, knowing that she'd been personally tortured by the man who had been her father? Once, if he was a Jedi, then he must have been a good man.]

I know all about that. Falling in love without meaning to, I mean.

[Instead of dwelling on the sorrow of what had been, Leia instead chose to tell her mother about the good things.]

Han's rough around the edges, but he's helped me and the Rebellion in so many ways.

[It would sadden her, to say the least, especially in the scope of how things might otherwise have played out. The pregnancy hadn't been planned, and she had been afraid, and yet the look on Anakin's face as she stood there before him, trembling, had lifted her own soul. She both had the family she had always thought she would have, and yet, in the end, not for long.]

The heart is not always the easiest thing to understand, but when you know, you know, and I am happy that you have found that someone.

[Leia nodded. Her own journey with Han hadn't been easy - although not as heartbreaking as Padmé's and Anakin's. At least, not yet.]
