Try fleet. They only stop periodically at different worlds.

Also, you'll be on the fleet for the entertainment of some dubious audience. So your mun may be the least of your concerns.

And what would they have me do to entertain them? I'm not some fighter in a pit and I don't take kindly to being shuffled around like some kitchen mouse.

Nothing like that. They prefer drama more than anything else. Stuff a lot of people in small ships and eventually tempers or something will flare.

I... they will not be with you. Small flying metal things in space are not conducive habitation for dragons. Fortunately, they will be fine in your absence. Time freezes while you're in the fleet. I've been assured that once you're sent home, it'll be like you were never gone.

[She relaxes some, though only by a margin. She's still not the 'go quietly' type. At least, this assures her that her dragons - and the Mereenese - will be safe.]

These ships - the fleet... they fly? How is that possible?

I could not say how they fly. It is of technology and inventions far beyond anything we have where I'm from.

Some sort of magic, perhaps? All the same, why cram so many people onto them? Should there be a mutiny, who would handle that?

That was my thought but many there say it is not.

Hard to say. I've never heard of one happening. People can transfer ships, though, so I imagine if there's an issue, people would just get moved around.

I don't think they stop at anyone's home world. Why they bring people in when they do and why they send them home seems to be random. Could be just whenever they feel like it, or something else going on that we're not privy to.

Who rules over the fleet? I mean to negotiate with them, as best I can. if possible.

Sailing is one thing, but I'm rather fond of my dragons. I wish not to be deposited somewhere without them.

[She doesn't speak for a long moment, her violet eyes drinking him in. She had dreamed of him once, with their son Rhaego, but that had been sorcery to keep her trapped. This was no dream.]

So I've been told. Unfortunate, really - for me, at least. I've been assured no harm will come to them in my absence - however, unwilling it is.

[It still makes her angry to be separated, but she's already locked two of them away. Drogon is all she has left.]

You're one of them, I take it? I don't care what I've been told - I mean to liberate as many as I can from these flying ships.

Technology. Something built into the ships makes them propel through space. The intricacies are lost on me, but I believe there are some in the fleet who would know.

[She shakes her head.] No one, really. I mean, it would be Atroma, the entity or organization or... whatever that brings us to the fleet. But there is no known way of contacting them.

Then there is nothing to be done, to reverse our fates.

This Atroma lies hidden while we all do their bidding and are made into fools for others' entertainment.

[Somehow she never gets tired of the awe and fear her children inspired snce their birth. It is only saddening to know that they inspire more fear than awe, the larger and less controllable they become.]

[She enunciates the word similarly to how this girl says it, smiling proudly to herself]

I'm told that the three of them will be too large for the flying ships.

For the most part, yes. It's not all so terrible. There are dozens of people in the same situation, and a lot of them are pretty lovely people. You can make some good friends you'd never be able to otherwise.

Were they normal ships, I'm sure they could just fly out in the open, but I'm learning that isn't the case.

I've ridden ships in water before, but not in the sky.

It -- [ she hesitates. ] It takes some getting used to. But they rock less. And smell better.

And do you enjoy it? Though I would think not, given the manner in which you arrive is nothing short of captivity.

[She's probably done badgering this girl for answers, but it's nice to talk to someone who actually knows of ships that she's familiar with and seems close to her in age - though younger.]

[She gives a soft smile, though hesitant. The only real 'friend' she had back home that wasn't solely tasked in advising her was Misandei.]

Well, it's hard to say. We don't know each other very well. [She smiles.] But I am willing to give anyone a chance at it.

[She's not kidding. She befriended an assassin sent to kill her, a grumpy witch, and a golem, amongst others.]

[She only asks because one girl was telling her how easy it is to make friends? Strange as far as ideas go. She doesn't particularly want to open the door to friends who might stab her in her sleep.]

I see. I'm only curious what sort of place my writer means to send me. I have people who need me, where I am, and I'm told that time stops for them when I go. I don't know what that means completely, in truth, but I want to help others where I can. I want to liberate any who are unhappy in the fleet.

[Same story different place, really. If she can bring a few allies under her wing then all the better.]

That is true. We don't know one another and yet I find myself going to a place where I know no one and have no allies. It sounds dangerous to someone like me with so few to begin with.

[She doesn't want to wake up with a knife in her back!! She wants to know she can actually trust these people not to be the plotting sort that she's used to.]

I understand. Many show up with no friends or anyone from home. It's a little frightening. But the people there are generally very welcoming and do what they can to answer your questions. You'll be assigned to a crew eventually. Everyone has been new once, and they don't leave newcomers hanging.

What sort of work does everyone do once they're assigned a crew?

[Hopefully something befitting of a princess of little skill beyond diplomacy and horse riding and walking around.]

Oh, it varies. It can be anything from piloting to engineering to communications to personnel. It's whatever Atroma feels like assigning you.

I'm perfectly fine swimming but these ships are in the air, not in the water. A bit different than what I'm used to.

I haven't quite figured that that one out yet, I'm afraid. I'm told it's some advanced technology.
