((I've been drawn to this character. Canon is Beyond Good and Evil))
So, you must be the one in charge. The others told me a bit about you... [Her hard-wired instinct to not trust people easily kicks in, as it usually does whenever it comes to meeting new people. She hasn't been living an easy life, most particularly when her home planet had been suffering from constant alien attacks.]
[This, in addition to having a power she doesn't know well about yet. But she's not intending to discuss anything toward that. Definitely not around this Mun woman she knows so little about.]
I was warned that sometimes you're not nice to us "muses". Is that really true?
[Guilty. But is Mun really? Not very much, as she proceeds to explain she's slowed down in all writing, in general over the holidays, being a little more merciful recently.]
So they've noticed. And you seem so calm about that. [An inward alarm goes off inside her head just now. This sort of behavior can be somewhat comparable to how calm and indifferent the Alpha Sections were when more and more people were abducted from their homes. They had been transported against their will, away from their homes...
Nothing too different from what's she's currently dealing with.]
Am I about to be in the middle of this war they're in? You may know about what I've been through, but do you really? How do I know that you're not affiliated with the DomZ?
[Mun's partial smile is gone as her response is nope, no way! Not supporting them at all. That Overlord's crept her out some, she shamelessly admits. That must have been freakin' scary, when he tried to enforce his control over you, Jade. :O]
[Mun's surprise and reply seems honest, but Jade, within reason, still has suspicions.]
It really was. That, and worse. [She's watches Mun's expressions cautiously as she talks.] Too much for words.
[Mun is quick to ask her about Pey'j; Jade, do you think he's doing all right? Jade notices the bit of worry from her but doesn't truly believe the other woman really cares what happens to her, and her family.]
I wouldn't worry about him. He's been as he always is, tinkering and inventing things, or fussing over and fixing other things.
[That might be a lie, but Jade is not going to let this woman anywhere near her loved ones, nor her friends in IRIS. They've all been through more than enough! The subtle bravado in her tone is making that clear towards the other woman. Pey'j acting not quite as himself is none of Mun's business as far as Jade is concerned.
She puts a stop from going further into a sensitive subject by asking Mun something. Jade wants straight answers. The reporter in her almost demands for them.]
So what kind of plans do you have for me, Mun? Nothing heinous or terrifying I hope.
[Mun shrugs a bit. For now? To mingle and socialize... Musebox stuff for later, maybe? Not mentioning anything to her about outside of RP ideas. Not right now, anyway.]
"Stuff"? [Jade glares.] You mean to tell me you're going to leave me at your Nexus. And I join up with these other people I barely know--and help fight against a nasty teleporting reptile, a world away from my own. Is that what you expect?
[...Jeez, will she always be like this at me? The town is safe from her, Jade. If you don't want to fight, you don't have to.]
Oh, I get a choice. That's terrific, when pretty much everyone else doesn't have one!
[Don't blame me. Blame Vertigo! It's her ambition. It's her fault.]

And you?

[Jade will just omit having to beat and fry any security bots in pearl collecting and infiltration into Alpha Section's secret facilities to snap photos while on the job. It would take a while to explain all of that...]
My uncle is part mechanic and part brilliant inventor. [A small smile appears on her petite face when mentioning this. She hasn't been apart from Uncle Pey'j for long, but she misses him so much already. The orphan children, and her friend Double H too.] He invented these rocket powered boots that deliver quite a stomp upon landing. He also fixes our machines when they malfunction.
[Without those boots, Pey'j and Jade wouldn't have progressed far at all during their Black Isle mission, which was the first of several that she did for the people of her world. I will do everything I can to go back home. I'll figure something out.]

It took me ages to build him. I'm Tadashi Hamada, what's your name?

The bilingual AI she knows of is awesome too. Very handy. If Tadashi asks a question about the round metal object with a glowing center, attached to a strap over her shoulder, then she could let the hologram of Secundo out and introduce him.]
I’m Jade Atsuko. Freelance photography is pretty much what I do. For nature, advertising, and so on.
[I also join resistance groups to fight hostile aliens. Jade keeps the snark to herself as she promptly holds out her hand in polite greeting.]
