[Luke looks vaguely amused. Still, it's obvious that he regards Maz with considerable respect.]

I suppose anything is possible, but I'm not sure they'll manage to really surprise you.

Life is full of experiences. Even if I've seen it before, it's still wondrous. I could still be surprised, though. Now come here, let me get a look at you.

[The young Jedi smiles faintly and obligingly takes a couple of steps closer, gracefully descending onto one knee so that his face is level with hers. He's not the Luke she's familiar with, of course, but he's not terribly unlike a much younger version of the same. There is potential in spades for him, still, and hope, but his youthful naivete has been tempered rather intensely over the past couple of years, in particular.]

[He could explain, but he feels that it would be rather unnecessary. She may not be a Jedi, but she certainly has a way with the Force.]

"Do you ever leave this bar, Maz?" Rey asked, a smiling tugging at her lips.

"Child! Come here and give me a hug." Maz says walking up with open arms.

"I haven't left the bar for about fifty years now. Maybe I'm over due."

Her smile grew at Maz's enthusiasm and Rey knelt down to get to her height before gently embracing her.

"Maybe we could go somewhere. I've got a ship now." Which, really, wasn't under the best circumstances.

Maz sighs ruefully.

"And I don't have a bar any more. I've got foundations though, and I can rebuild."

"Everything turned out okay for you then? What about that nice boy with the pretty eyes?"

"I don't envy the guy that's got you inside their head," Han Solo smirks, but it's good-naturedly. Though he won't readily admit it aloud in so many words, he's fond of Maz.

Sadly don't have any bandwagon characters of my own yet so Karl here will have to do.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Time flows strangely here so you won't miss a thing back in your home. Which is good considering how interesting things seem to be getting for you.
