First: you've finally filled in almost all my backstory! That's great news. It helps, and I'm really happy with what you've come up with so far. I mean, it's not like you said I turned my hair pink and got busted for anything. 'Cause my friends would've kicked my ass and then my dad would've kicked my ass again and yeah. Not cool.
But about the other thing: please don't ask me not to be insecure. You know I've never seen myself as that beautiful. And you've already established that the only time I wear a dress is August every year. I'm not going to dress up in some expensive outfit like that and make anybody's jaw drop. I just don't think I have that in me.
...Besides, evening gowns are completely impractical. One time bending down to reach under the hood and I'd tear the whole thing open.
...(Starts laughing at the thought.)
