It's definitely a step up from being an associate. They used to keep us stuck in this maze of cubicles they call the bullpen. On good days, they'd let some air in and I would remember the feeling of sunlight.

Karen laughs a little at his fowardness. Of course she knew he was joking, or at least she assumed he was.

"Yeah, well, I don't think Marci would enjoy that very much." Yeah, she's calling you out. Karen is very aware of what's going on, even if he never mentioned it. Unless he just started to enjoy wearing women's perfume and showing up to work in the same clothes he left in the night before.
