[Indeed he is. It's hard to tell since Sans always seems to be wearing that grin, but it feels like he means it more as he reaches out to ruffle Frisk's hair.]

That's really cool, Sans...! Mine doesn't like puns very much, but...they know it's real important for me to talk to my friends. So they say they'll grin and bear it.

[With a speed that's surprising to anyone who hasn't had a bad time, Sans dashes forward and scoops Frisk up into s nice, tight hug. It's a lot more comfortable than one might expect hugging a skeleton to be; his jacket is very soft, and there might be a pillow stuffed in his shirt.]

[Frisk has never had a Bad Time! They've heard about it, though. It just makes them sad. They squeak a little upon getting swept up by Sans, laughing soft and gentle, snuggling into the pillow.]

...I did, but...I never explored very much. ...not until I fell down.

[Oh-- it's a familiar face! She doesn't realize that this Sans isn't the same as the one she's met before, unfortunately.]

[He was so kind to her before... and she knows how cruel mundanes can be.]
