You should stop cringing, mun. One of my cousins nearly got his face stuck in that exact same expression for a week! It wasn't a particular attractive look for him, you know.
Getting a shot wasn't nearly as dreadful as I thought it would be. I barely felt a thing.
[Hindsight is easy, for hindsight makes everything less worse than it was, anticipation its opposite, making everything far more serious and terrible. Although to add insult to injury, there was no bribe involved to even suffer one's first shot ever.]

...An' ya barely felt a thing?

[he's not going to talk about how he watched the entire thing, white knuckled and wide-eyed.]

Only because it rhymes with Bilbo.

Hope a LOTR: Online character is okay...
Always okay!
You can barely see a mark. You say your father got injured by a boar and figured it a small injury at first?
[Goodness, her father must be a very sturdy hobbit!]

Oh, no. He was pretty sure when he got hurt that it was a big deal. He just didn't know he was hurt until after he and Gaffer had it downed and Gaffer was howling about "Yer mam is gonna kill me!"
no subject
It was a little sore before but it was feeling better...
Goodness! He nearly got gored by a boar and the first thing the Gaffer worried about was what his mother would say?
no subject
Old Gaffer always had his own way of thinking, and Dad said he would always say these things out of anger and worry that didn't make a lick of sense.
Dad made it out fine though. He helped me shoot down my own boar when I was younger, and he still gets my mam some of the finest conies even at his ripe old age.

You might as well, especially as one never knows when one is in for such a thing. I don't think you would like it very much!

Wouldn't I? [It's almost a small challenge, Bilbo puffing out his chest because he'd be at least willing to try anything once. Provided it wasn't too strenuous. And was before noon. Because he had places to be. Places that didn't involve adventuring or Other Such Nonsense]

It involves deliberately sticking a sharp object into your arm. No, Bilbo, I daresay you would not like it very much.
