So, you've decided that I'm the better. Well, that's one decision I can't disagree with. The other isn't a wholly unpleasant fellow but a bit trite, I'll agree. He's me, but certainly not me.
Overall I'm quite glad to be pulled from the catacombs for a while. It's a might brighter in your headspace, though I'll admit, I really had quite a send-off. I'd rather keep that memory, and if you take it from me, it might get unpleasant for the both of us.
[I might have to...]
...You may wish to reconsider that.
[It's going to depend on the pull-point.]
I don't care. You really should think twice about taking something like that from me.
Well then, I'm glad we've had this little chat. I'm certain things will be interesting.

[She's just too single-minded for that stuff.]
Is there a reason why you can't get out and see new places?

[What he would give to be free to travel without fear. His adventures are all of his own making, his own imagination.]
Well, you this face of mine, it's not exactly fit to see the daylight. It gives people a terrible fright. [He looks down at his hands shyly.] Even me.

[She's seen a lot of faces, and it takes a lot to frighten her, if she's even capable of such an emotion anymore.]

It is. It's an ugliness the world above is not prepared for. And I will not be put on display because of it.

[Her curiosity almost burns, but she won't force him to show his face.]

...What is it?

[Finally he lowers his eyes, not wanting to start a fight, but feeling that his opinion of curiosity about his face has been addressed in it's own way. Light a switch his attitude flips, taking a breath and his tone growing lighter.]
Not that I'm one to speak ill of curiosity. I'm quite curious myself. Curious what instruments I have yet to hear; curious about new plays which haven't come to the theater yet.
Curious, as to what would have Mademoiselle so focused she could not stop even a moment to appreciate the roadside flowers on her journey.

The purpose of my journey is to find my brother. I've traveled to different arenas all over the world, but I seem to miss him at every turn. It seems that for every step I take, my brother takes two more steps ahead. How will I ever catch up if I stop for sightseeing?

[Perhaps he's waxing romantic, but all the plants in his domain are vines or fake. He steals flowers from the opera, and while they don't last, they bring a little color to his life for whatever brief period of time they survive.]
