On potential new Marvel castmates at Wake (Possible Age of Ultron spoilers in comments)

Of course I am concerned, dear mun. If these Avengers arrive and confront Loki... They may not see at first how far he has come. But perhaps Thor can speak to them. Reason with them.

Mun, I am advising you not to encourage them further. Do we not have enough to deal with?
girlfriend_beyond: (are you sure about this?)

They won't get close enough to Loki to confront him. Unless Loki goes to meet them himself. ...which he probably would. But Loki wouldn't be in any danger. You don't really need to worry about him.
girlfriend_beyond: (that doesn't look good)

[personal profile] girlfriend_beyond 2015-05-09 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm worried about that, too. And unlike with Thor, he wouldn't be as inclined to hold back if he got in a fight with them.

Do you think you could keep him from fighting them?
girlfriend_beyond: (just come back)

[personal profile] girlfriend_beyond 2015-05-09 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Please do, if you think he'll torment them. You're one of the only people he'd stop for.

Oh, um, is Nautilus dangerous? I'm, uh, I'm sorry to bother you, but I'm going there soon and I don't like fighting... I hope you can talk things out instead.

You know, I'm pretty sure a bunch of self proclaimed heroes who also call themselves 'Avengers' aren't big on being reasoned with.
tricksterofasgard: (I wanted to forgive)

[personal profile] tricksterofasgard 2015-05-09 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
If they can be reasoned with, mother.

That SHIELD Agent that already resides in Nautilus was not very open to discuss matters...

You think i should not blame them?

I've found discussing matters with heroes of angry temperaments and many grudges often does not go well. Proving his change would be a much better course of action.

If anything, Loki is always talented at being fleet of feet; Then he can prove it while on the run!

When I've no other option, yes. In this case . . . no, I'm much too foolish. I would craft a scheme that would prove to all I were trustworthy in one fell swoop of the pen. There is always a darkness to fight, and ever will an enemy rise when most needed. I've found heroes pay most attention to the felling of a great giant, and who did the deed.

Yes, well. I've earned such wisdom. [a morose shadow flickers across his features before he grins widely] And what of your Loki? Is he not so wise?

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-12 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Would it be wise of any Loki to trust such as Thor and any of his friends? I rather doubt it.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-13 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh Frigga, you give him far too much leeway and benefit of the doubt. Though still less him than Odin.

Meaning well is not enough, false-mother; sometimes you must act. Were it me in your place the old gallows-ghoul would be a corpse long since.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-13 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Surely not so different from my history, unmother, or thy Loki would not need recovery.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-13 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Is he happy, now?

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-25 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Only some?

Perhaps you should find his children for him.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-25 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
That is well. But if his true children exist on thy Yggdrasil, and I am told that at least Sleipnir does, you must save them from their pains.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-28 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
But are their chains any less cruel?

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-28 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
Because Odin has no concept of a self-fulfilling prophecy, and doesn't see that tormenting the ones destined to kill him might just be a bad plan.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-28 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. And sometimes your own cruelty comes back to bite you, as well.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-28 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
With Odin? I would die first. So I swear by Yggdrasil and the River Styx and the power of three and the other side of the sky and my very breath.

[personal profile] lokisbrood 2015-05-28 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, unmother. You always tried as much as you were allowed.
