On moving back...

I want to congratulate you on your efforts here, miss, not least because this user name is vastly preferable. Golden boy? Really?

But you've already found several people interested in my world here, and that's encouraging. I will say that six versions of me seems like overkill. Believe me, I've met me many times, and it wasn't much fun.

You can keep the lady one, though. She can stay.

Oh, er, sorry, Captain. Lieutenant Commander Warren Matthews. I'm also with Starfleet, just ... at a later point than yourself.

I had to read all about you during Starfleet Command School.

Of course! I mean, look at the Starfleet icon now. The Enterprise becomes so iconic of Starfleet that its ship patch is formally adopted as the symbol for Starfleet. After that, every iteration of the Enterprise is known as the fleet's flagship.

No, but you are pretty much the most famous, though Captain Picard may give you run for your money, as the saying goes.

Right now, I'm stuck commanding a new runabout. It's a necessary duty, and filled with its own little adventures, but it's not the same as commanding a heavy cruiser like the Enterprise.

I'm not saying I don't appreciate all that Starfleet's done for me, Captain, but after the Dominion War, I sometimes wonder if these missions aren't a way to shove off those of us who essentially came into Starfleet during the crisis.
