True, I got hurled from San d'Oria the same way my kinsmen hurl deformed, or otherwise sickly looking babes unto the Bostaunieux Oubliette. Why yes, I have been hurled unto it. In actuality, which not not what I speak of, and metaphorically, which I do!
...Ah. Perhaps metaphorically carries not as much humour after the actuality.
But. New things!
New things? Jeuno. The Grand Duchy of, in fact. I class that as quite a new thing, even though only Altana knows quite how long it has stood. It is new for us. That is all of import. New money. New pockets ripe for picking, new merchantries established and in need of a good defraud.
Far more opportunity for profit and misdemeanour than the old lion is willing to weather -- and far more gil than the old high houses of San d'Oria have left to part with.
Just get me through Jugner Forest and Battalia Downs alive, and I shall do the rest.
