You and I both know I don't, and I quote, "need Fritz, Mike, or Jeremy's help in Panem". I lost Jeremy to the Bite, Fritz is long gone and Mike might as well stay the hell away. I appreciate you wanting me to not be lonely in that brave new world, and I've made friends...ish...but that's cruel!

Freshly dead...right. Scary voice Lesson 2, huh. [He tries the phone again] Huh, I can hear other voices around the building. Are those the other kids? [he immediately stopped when he heard adults talking]

[ the other kids definitely didn't sound like that. sometimes it was management, discussing this and that. sometimes the other kids were being spooky. but since he doesn't remember the Purple Man's voice well enough now, it's best to investigate. which means it's time to go crawling through the ceiling rafters to find the voices. this way, Mr. Phil. ]

[Phil figures he's a little rusty in his climbing and sadly, he was too much of a beginner to handle floating. So climbing it was]

It's-It's Brad, from higher ups...what's he doing here? [Along with a man he didn't recognize at all] I dunno him but...can we get closer? I think they're talking about the new one.

[themarionette]

[ the puppet waits, a little impatiently, for Mr. Phil to join him. look, pal. he knows you're a newbie and all, but transparency is entry level stuff. walk through the walls next time. the only reason the puppet uses the ceiling is because he has a host body. ]

Sorry, walls are weird for me okay? [He's still unnerved about that but what truly creeped Phil out was how...mechanical they were at his suit.] Brad, it's me, Phil...come on, give me...[He slapped his hand on his face as they started tearing the bot] No no no, I know I have no one...tell Karen to stay away! [Karen was Netter's mother and she was looking like a loose end. The exec was considering...] Don't you fucking dare-BRAD STOP THAT MAN!

[ this could've gone a lot better. it was just going to be a funny scare. but then they started talking about mama. now he has to get serious.

so Marionette returns to the ceiling rafters, with his wooden control and long black strings in tow. he crawls right through Mr. Phil to get to a spot just above where the two men are standing, carefully removing the ceiling panel as quietly as he can. the control will hold him up when he drops - the strings tight around his neck, stopping just between the two men for quite the surprise.

it's always funny watching grown men jump and shriek like little girls. now he just needs to wait for one of them to get close enough, within reach of his long arms. ]

[Phil joins him and decides to break every glass in the room. He really didn't care at the moment but to even consider ANYONE harming Netter's mother made him go absolutely berserk. Even a former friend like Brad would be subjected to the puppet's reach as Gray screamed and cracked everything he could.

The executive got too close to the arms, but the dead guard didn't care, his target was Brad]

YOU SACK OF SHIT! [self-control went out the window]

[ so much for the subtle spooky approach. while his plan had been to wait and hold still until they were close enough for screeching and strangling, all the broken glass has them scrambling to get out of the building. sigh. newbies. but he can work with it. at least one man is close enough.

before the executive could start getting too far away, the puppet lunged, using both the control's strings and his sharp clawed hands to throttle the man, long legs wrapping just as tight around his shoulders as the surprise sent them toppling down to the floor. he kept squeezing as tight as he could, no matter how hard the man struggled.

whatever Mr. Phil was managing to do with the other guy, he'd have to do it quick, before he escaped the building. the puppet was the only one between them with a physical form, so hopefully he was able to do something. that new suit might come in handy. ]

[Phil grabbed the nearest suit, a Freddy, and possessed it without thinking about about it too much. Right now, the man wasn't thinking rationally, he was that consumed by rage. Former friends were currently the enemy and they couldn't leave the building if they intended. He was a total newbie but he had to release all this.

What made all this activity so much scary for Brad was the fact that unlike the original blue-eyed model, this animatronic had brown eyes...just like..."Phil?! Phil it's me!" Brad tried to reason with the possessed robot, "We were just trying to get you to get you." Of course the man tried to dial 9-1-1]

You weren't trying to do ANYTHING!

[One look at the executive and he knew Netter would finish that off. Brad pleaded for his life, "Gray please! Please let me get out of here! W-we'll make sure Jeremy's taken care of! That new guy too!"]

[ it doesn't take long. the executive is old, his heart gives out long before being strangled or stabbed could do him in. not as much fun, but the job's done and that's that. there's broken glass everywhere, but it's not like he has to be careful. he's not going to bleed out anymore.

leaving the man behind, the Marionette heads back up into the ceiling, heading towards all the shouting. he pries the next panel away just enough so he could watch from above. the spirits of these two won't linger here - they have no unfinished business, they were not good and innocent and wrongly taken before their time. and there was always places for the bodies. but, newbie he was, Mr. Phil made a mistake he'd have to discuss with him, once he was done. ]

[By the time Phil is done with Brad, there's not much left to identify him. Calming himself down was the worst mistake the guard could ever do as he realized what he'd done. He'd killed someone in his rage, someone who was his friend once upon a time...Gray ran off from the suit as fast as he could, as the guilt washed over him. He was as bad as the Purple Man now.

The puppet could find him in the security office, hands holding his head, and a quiet sob.]

[ yeah, the first kill is always a bit tough to handle. the puppet doesn't remember his by now, but he's pretty sure it was a little difficult at least. he doesn't feel regret anymore, though. that was one of the first emotions to go.

he follows along to the office, dropping out from the ceiling and landing on the desk. the puppet watches Mr. Phil for a minute, before reaching for some paper and crayons. oh, well. nothing can be done about it now. ]

[As he finished carrying the bodies into positions that would be seen as a break-in gone horribly wrong, Phil felt bad about the Puppet. Was this going to be his fate? To forget human emotions, his memories and simply haunt until the Purple Man came?

No. He refused that fate for himself, even if it was inevitable. He still held his mind for the most part and he still cared for the Marionette and the bots. He missed his body, yes, but...but he could learn. As soon as he stepped out of his suit, Phil began to hum a lullaby for the dead kids.]
