You're making a great decision here, mun. Bringing the awesome me to this place is just what it needs! With all the military action going down there, they're lucky to get a guy like me among their ranks who knows what he's doing. That Empire doesn't stand a chance against my might!

If you must start anew, your story should be more than it was. Why not try a different path and walk it with trusted compatriots. The greatness of your band of conquerors could become the type of tales myths are made from.

From what I hear, once I get to this new place, I plan on joining with their military. Sure, war has already started up there, but I'm sure it's just like riding a bike or whatever. It gets ingrained into you; fighting is as natural as breathing to me!

Their whole "Hero" thing sounds pretty dumb, but I wasn't interested in it until I heard their army needed someone awesome to help fight. [A chance to be relevant again? He'll take it.] Plus they have these things called Job Classes, and I'll get to try out all sorts of new combat techniques. And then someday I'll come back, stronger than ever!
