I've been neglecting poor Tadashi.
I'm fine not being in a game, mun. Really.
Just keep doing what you're doing. I've got my hands full making sure Hiro doesn't get into too much trouble around here, anyway.
It's nice to see everyone around. If they need me, I'm here for them.

I am so sorry for Jerk Man. >.>
I wonder if you realize just what you have set in motion.

[Yeah. Cause he isn't yet in a game. Baymax mentioned Tadashi being around here but it's still almost surreal to see him again like this.]
You just worry too much.
no subject
You're my little brother, and you're kind of an evil genius, Hiro. I have to worry.
no subject
[If you don't count the illegal gambling with bot fighting. Or you know giving Tadashi reason enough to put gps trackers in his hoodies. Or that one time he kind of set Baymax on the professor....yeah okay maybe Tadashi has a point. :l]
I mean, I know I'm a genius, that much is kind of obvious. But 'evil'? You'd say that about your brother?
[Teasing and faking being mortally offended by this, gosh. Rude, bro.]
no subject
I would definitely say that about my brother, because I think I know you better than anyone else. You don't always use your powers of intelligence for good, Hiro.
[ OH, he's not being completely serious here. You're a good kid, Hiro. He just has to give you a hard time, as usual. ]
no subject
I guess I can't deny that when you've been helping aunt Cass pretty much raise me since I was three. And I don't remember saying I would always use my brain for good. Bot-fighting itself isn't illegal, bro.
[It's the gambling that is. And makes Hiro a decent amount of cash.]
no subject
I think I know you even better than Aunt Cass. She would be even more worried if she knew half of what you do behind her back, and that would just be way too much stress eating for her.
Right, but gambling is. Good thing you don't have to stop to that level anymore...
no subject
And we couldn't have more stress eating! Not that! [Cue mock distraught expressions and horror. But he can't hold that too long. Instead being more sincere for once as he swallows and looks up to Tadashi.]
True. Things are.....getting better. Thanks to you. For not giving up on me.
no subject
[But his expression softens a little, and he smiles down at Hiro.]
You're welcome. All I did was give you a little push in the right direction.
no subject
I know. Just....wanted to say it anyway. You didn't need to do that. Taking me to the nerd school instead of the bot fighting.
[And oh. There's the hug he's been holding back on. Have a gangly little bro attached to your waist, Tadashi.]
no subject
[But he's teasing. When Hiro hugs him like that, his brow rises in surprise... and then he huffs a little smile. Tadashi hugs him back, fondly ruffling his messy hair.]
Well... I'm really proud of you, Hiro. But you already knew that.
no subject
[But aunt Cass isn't what is important right now. Tadashi is. The fact that he's here and Hiro has the chance to say and do things with him he didn't get to back home. The hug lingers possibly a bit longer than Tadashi is used to, but he at least mostly holds back the threat of tears.]
Yeah. I know. You too. I mean, Baymax is pretty sick.
[It's an expression. And ironic, because. Robot.]
no subject
Thanks. I like all the modifications you did on him.
[Baymax has learned so much from Hiro.]
I mean, the armor makes him less huggable, but that's okay.
no subject
Less huggable and non-threatening was kind of the point, as I tried to explain to him when he commented on 'undermining his non-threatening demeanor' or whatever. I just figured, well, I know I'm not great at fighting, being physical, but I could teach him to help make up for that.
[Not quite the same as having Tadashi rescue him from being bullied at school but it's close enough.]
Besides, Baymax even admitted. Flying totally makes him a better healthcare companion.
no subject
I designed Baymax a little too well, I guess. He must have been pretty confused when you started giving him karate lessons and armor.
[Tadashi half-smiles fondly down at his little brother. Hiro had always been the genius of the family, not him, but he wasn't big in the physical department. He'd get his growth spurt like Tadashi eventually.]
I'm glad you've got Baymax. If he only helped you, well... that would've been enough for me.
no subject
[It's so easy to fall back on the half teasing. That excitement of sharing projects with Tadashi like this.]
He did. He is helping, I mean. A lot. Not just me, but...everyone.
[Playing hero, helping not just him but the others through the loss. Saving people. Maybe not necessarily in the way Tadashi had imagined, but helping all the same.]
no subject
[He half-grins, totally teasing back. The fistbump was totally their thing anyway, of course.]
I'm glad, little brother. You know I'm really proud of you, right?
no subject
[Even if it should have been Tadashi teaching him, programming him instead. Hiro tries not to let his thoughts go down that track, simply relieved and glad to have his brother here at all.]
I know. Me too. I mean, I wouldn't have figured Baymax without you in the first place giving me something to go off to start with.
no subject
[They should've been teaching Baymax together, but... Hiro has done a great job. No surprise there.]
Well, it probably wouldn't have taken you as long to get him up and working. Let's just say I spent some sleepless nights working on him.
no subject
no subject
I still can't believe you taught him karate. [He half-grins, shaking his head.] I'd like to see him in action sometime, you know - in person.
no subject
[Especially with Hiro because how else is he going to keep the kid getting hurt or in more trouble otherwise? Which Tadashi well knows, given his being bullied at school and then getting into the bot fighting.]
If I find him around here, I'll let you know and we can totally give you a demo sometime. Remember those rocket boots I made with Mochi? Well, Baymax has a rocket fist!
[He is so proud and excited for a brief moment before that reminds him of the portal and it turns more bittersweet.]
no subject
Tadashi chuckles at the rocket boots part, though clearly proud.]
I don't think Mochi ever forgave you for those rocket boots.
That's great, Hiro. I can't wait to see it. [No being sad while he's here. Not allowed.]
no subject
[There's a laugh there, and it almost - almost feels like all is right and normal again. Like Tadashi never ran into the building to save the professor.]
I bet. Maybe by then I'll even have more upgrades ready for him. I'm open to suggestions on that if you want to contribute.
[No this totally isn't him fishing for ideas at all. Stupid, empty, useless brain when he wants to come up with something.]
