i'm in too deep in this bandwagon pile. help me
I do not understand how changing my name from "Baymax" to "Hugs-A-Lot-Bot" would make me a better healthcare companion. Would that improve my huggable and nonthreatening design?
[yes. yes, definitely yes]
. . . "I see." [no, he really doesn't. it's just an expression] Tadashi assigned me this name. I think Hiro would rather I keep it.
[probably gonna be spoilers in comments!]

I dunno, buddy. Sounds pretty accurate to me. [Hes just glad to see Baymax in this space okay thank you] I think Tadashi would be proud. [Or be indignant. Who knows. It's just funny imagining what Tadashi's reaction would be.]

Tadashi would be proud to see me referred to as "Hugs-A-Lot-Bot?" [he blinks slowly] It seems to be causing my "mundane" a mix of distress and happiness. [laughing is good, but crying is bad. mundanes are so weird. but Hiro is definitely happy. HM] Should I introduce myself as "Hugs-A-Lot-Bot" from now on?

I think you're okay. […although.] You could always introduce yourself as Bay-Hugs. That works, too. [Hiro no.] It's just a nickname, Baymax. Pretty much everybody else on the team has one. […except for him.
…wait a minute. Wow he's not sure how he feels about that. On the one hand, you can't really make a nickname out of Hiro. On the other hand, this is the same kid who made himself a suit that only functions as a means to stick to Baymax just because he wanted a suit, too.]

[speaking of promoting friendship--] Your neurotransmitter levels are slightly abnormal. If I have upset you, Hiro, I apologize. That is never my intention.
[are you feeling left out, Hiro? do you wanna talk about it? do you need a hug?]
no subject
[Awww Baymax come on. Stop continually scanning him when he's not even paying attention.] Huh? No, you didn't do anything. [He tilts his head a little. Lookit that, he's not even consciously aware that those thoughts are a little perturbing to him.] I'm fine. See? [Will a giant grin help?]
no subject
[but he wants for care for his little partner! teens' moods fluctuate so often. he needs to be sneaky with you sometimes. you cannot escape the robot love. or rather, care. whatever. same difference.
he pauses, considering. the giant
totally believablegrin is a good sign yes, but those levels are not changing, mister. ...wait. OH, THAT'S IT!] If you are sure you are "fine." It is possible your abnormal levels are a result of your pubescent mood swings. Are you experiencing a mood swing?no subject
Someday Baymax will learn that his little buddy is a ball of trouble half the time but for now Hiro's a little thrown off-guard by that question.]
No, Baymax. It's not a mood swing. [Urge. To drag hand down face. Rising. Sometimes he has to blame Tadashi a little for making Baymax as accurate as he is. And sometimes he's just a little huffy he can't always lie to his partner.]
Does this place seem kinda weird to you? [Because hey, just because he's happier here doesn't mean it's still not bizarre. San Fransokyo is huge no doubt but the people here are still way different.]
no subject
at the question, Baymax lifts his head to look up. then he looks to the left. he slowly squeak-waddles his way in a circle, taking in the immediate area again. just to make sure he didn't miss something. once he's facing Hiro again, he stops]
Yes. We are no longer in San Fransokyo. [a pause] There are also some people who share exactly the same medical information and appearance, which would not be possible in twins. That is "kinda weird."
no subject
...whacha doin' buddy? Hiro's just watching him turn in a circle, not entirely sure what it is Baymax is looking for. At the (pretty obvious) announcement though he gets it.
Right. Literal robot.]
Clones. Cloning's not new science but this is a little too much. [He gives a slightly mischievous grin.] There's even a few of you out here.
[...wait.]
Wait did you really scan everybody already?

[[Awww, don't listen to this old grumpy-pot, Baymax! xD <3 I mean, srsly, he LOVES your hugs-- eventually, that is! xD <333]]

Hugs can help in one's recovery from personal loss. Other treatments include support from friends and family, as well as reassurance. I will now scan you. [a few short seconds' pause] Scan complete. Your neurotransmitter levels indicate you are frustrated. Feeling angry is a normal response to grief. It is okay to feel this way.
[a pause] Are you sure you would not like a hug?

Honestly, Mamselle Mundane, i DO wish you would stop it.... [[Aww, stop WHAT!?]] You know perfectly well, what! I mean, that bloody giggling is most undignified! [[Aww, and when have I ever "Giggled" undignified like? I mean, honestly: I would qualify my laughter as "evil Cackling," more like! xD <3]] Y-yes, you do that, whatever you like....
[And poor Tommy boy sighs weakly, at both his Mundane and the bloody marshmallow-textured robot!] You seem to have an-- unusual interest in m-my neurotransmitters, you know... But yes, yes! I'm Fine, really!
[[Aww! don't you believe the little liar, Baymax...! xD <33]

[and here he reaches out to pat you on your head. hey, you said no hugs, but this is fine, right?] There. . . . There. You will be okay.
just joined said bandwagon today. hai.
[Really? Hiro may just be trying not to laugh here. And refraining from encouraging this like the brat he is.]
hi hi~ welcome to the club! we have muffins spiced with our tears
[because even the word "hugs" is magical and therefore helps people to recover from . . . whatever??? he doesn't get it]
accurate tbh. this movie, man. forever behind but just saw it this morn and ugh.
[He's not sure if Tadashi would laugh at this or be mortified at the idea of calling Baymax this though. The question is just how much to encourage this or dissuade him from the name. Baymax himself doesn't seem to mind it at least, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea?]
i saw it a week or so ago so i'm totes with you. i'm a mess and everything is glorious
or don't]That is correct. It would also serve as a warning to those who are uncomfortable with physical contact. [he's been running into some of that lately. and not just teen weirdness, Mr. Tsun]
It is. Even if it hurt.
Not sure hugs really need to come with a warning in comparison to other things. But sure. If you think that's a good idea, I guess.
[But puberty and grief, Baymax. He's allowed to be prickly at times as a result, gosh.
But he loves you really.]

i almost wrote the font as "Tadashi" that is how excited i am
Awww :D
Yeah, that sounds like my little brother. Trying to change your name already.
I think it's a good nickname. It's an introduction, and an offer for free hugs. I like it.
i'm also foundthehirowithin so hi!!
[he's gonna make so many people laugh because of you two. and with laughter being a great form of medicine . . . you're both bettering the world already]

[he raises his hand in that small, circular wave] Hello. I am Baymax, the Hugs-A-Lot-Bot, your personal healthcare companion. . . . Is that sufficient?
