I understand that sometimes doing things that are questionable are amusing, and that as long as everyone is having fun and enjoying themselves a meme is not a place one needs to be serious. But I must object to the direction you keep leading me towards when engaging in such ridiculousness.

I'm not sure what is worse, that you are willing to stretch my appropriate responses for your amusement, or the fact you seem temporarily inspired by this uncharacteristic episode to wish to develop an "AU" where this behavior would be more appropriate.

Stop that right now! That is a road too steep for you to walk, a road that will only lead to a black path ahead. There is no situation that will excuse turning me into some sort of domineering dominatrix, so just forget the idea all together and hold back on these horrible situations. Especially when the other one involved is tempted to bring mention of these things into my proper life!

I do, more than I would have wanted to. But there is little I can do about it, most of that you need to resolve yourself.

My condolences, Shiki. I count myself fortunate that my own typist is uncomfortable bringing me to that particular sort of meme, and that her concept of an alternate universe has consequences outside of my own frustration.

I long for the days where my own was also reluctant about such things, but sometimes there are people who prove a bad example and encourage such behavior. However, I suppose what I am most concerned about is the idea of a version of myself who would be prone to extreme use of force. It is not impossible, or even unlikely for a Yama to act in such a way. But it is quite unlike myself and a strange thing to even fathom.

Given her stated reasons for such avoidance in my particular case, I doubt that her reluctance to involve me will subside.

The idea that such behavior would be common to begin with is unsettling.

Perhaps not in that... context. But it is not unreasonable for a Yama with the right authority to exact that authority in anyway they see fit. I prefer a gentle approach to things, but there are others who feel that is not a viable method. There was a time where it was not uncommon to take the souls of sleeping mortals before their time and test them.

Were laws against such interference with the living passed, then?

There are rules against enacting death, even those who have gone past their expectancy. However reapers are permitted to take souls of those who are long over due. But at that point the body is already considered dead. Meaning, I can not take the life of someone who has not reached the end of their life span. But if I were so inclined I could take their soul as long as I sent it back.

On the other hand, the Ten Kings are capable of doing whatever they wish as they are the guiding counsel. Since they are the original ones in charge their methods can be old fashioned. But they mostly do administration work now as everything has been subdivided.

Technically, if the mun is 'creating' an alternate universe, it already exists. These muns are little more than mediums into the myriad of parallel universes that branch off from everything.

Of course.... But as much as these things exist out in the world I would much rather they not exist in my immediate vicinity. I do not want to deal with a strange combination of the Yama of old, that video in question, and some frightening similarities to Yuuka....

It is surprising how much you and the flower youkai have in common at times. From an untrained, judgemental eye, you two are both... very unwavering in your beliefs, and perfectly willing to stand your ground no matter the circumstance.

You may see it as spots of white on her, or spots of black on yourself; it matters little. But it is the same generalizing mindset that calls me "lazy".

I rather don't appreciate that comparison. Yuuka is old and bordering on senile. And when I stand my ground I am justified, I am also completely fair in all my dealings.

I am neither black nor white. I am a neutral entity so it is impossible to make such a comparison.

No, silly would be suggesting that a psychotic pit-bull with breast envy is still preferable to "loli Enma". Well, assuming that the part of your job that you enjoy ISN'T the smiting and punishment.

Neither is preferred and neither is anywhere near accurate. What I enjoy doing is helping those attain the right path. Even if there might only be a few, and they might not change enough to gain a properly good judgement, anyone who can avoid Hell is an achievement.

I'm not sure, I rather wish she wouldn't spend so much of her attention on such things. But as long as there is no serious backlog I have nothing to complain about.
