You know how you often think you make bad choices? I feel that's relevant to this moment.

We both know that you're never going to do anything with me, so why waste your time doing this? I don't care if it was only ten minutes or so, that's ten minutes of your life you might've spent doing something more productive. Any why would you bring me to this place outside of the realms where there's so many Lokis floating around? Dealing with the ones in your head is quite enough, I think. And there might be a few Amoras in here as well. I don't have the patience for that right now, truly.

How about you and I just go read some of those fanfictions you enjoy so much? That will probably be a more enjoyable expe- Stop looking for more icons! Stop right now! Go play your video games. Go write your essays. Do something, anything, that's not this. Thank you.

I gathered as much from your demeanor, but it's been my experience that you are not all so different, these versions of you. There are common threads woven throughout your various lives.

Surely you could only mean well by such an observation!

What indeed. [ He swears he is cursed by the Norns themselves. It's not his fault! He can't help it. ]

Allow me then, sweet Sigyn, to further disrupt. Come, share a cup with me and tell me your tale. [ Not sorry, mun! ]

I can't imagine my tale will be anywhere near as exciting as yours surely is, but I suppose I haven't got much else going on at the moment. [She smiles at him, even though she knows full well she'll probably regret this. She frequently does.]

[ But look at your precious smile. Is it not enough that, in such a fleeting moment, the heart elates? Loki thinks it is best to burn brightly for a short while than to shine dimly at length. Boring! One should rejoice these tiny treasures. ]

[She considers it, for a moment, but this Loki is younger than the one she is used to and it almost seems inappropriate. Instead, she simply follows close behind him.]

I must say, this is certainly one of your more interesting looks. Your hair is truly something.

[ His smile only seems to grow with every word she says. ]

Tell me of your Loki. Is he the one I hear so much of? The one who fears himself?

I don't know that I've ever heard him described in such words, but that does seem quite accurate. Or at least, for the him that exists in the the future. The one I know now, in my time, is not so deeply troubled.

A Loki is always deeply troubled, dear Sigyn. [ The tone changes for a fraction. He's much older than he looks. No, Loki remembers Ragnarok. He remembers many of them. Another body, another time, another ticking clock. ]

[theladysigyn]

Perhaps. I wish to believe there is a Loki out in the universe that is not so. But my Loki, for all his troubles, was not so far gone that I could ever believe him capable of things I know he will one day do.

...That is one of the many things I dislike about this place. It makes us all too aware of what is, and what will be, when some of us would rather not know.

Alas, not even Odin can escape his fate but there is truth in ignorance is bliss. I am curious, have I not always been smallblood and fire haired?

[ Uhm, let's just say there's a place and it has ale. For continuity sake. Voila. He'll pour! ]

I'm afraid not! The Loki I am used to is just as light of skin but with hair dark as night and eyes like emeralds. It's most striking.

[She tips her mug in his direction, smiling.] But as I said before, this look you have now is a good one as well! I can certainly see myself getting used to it.

Well now, shall we talk a topic more interesting? I know you as golden haired [ He tips his head upward, eyes narrow in judgement ] but a woman must never be judged by such things.

[She scoffs at that and takes a drink.]

I can't say I'm envious. I love my hair. Asgard has more than enough gold in it as is.

A woman should always be judged on her spirit over her beauty [ there's a short smile as he too takes a drink and sets the cup down a bit heavy ] but I think you are right! Indeed, it is striking.

[She strokes a brown curl hung over her shoulder and grins.] Now who's the flatterer?

Have you attempted this method while Thor was in the same room?

[ The Silvertongue? The sly one? A flatterer you say? Surely you jest! But he smiles that smile and leans in just a touch. ] How she accuses me already of such treacherous things! Why must Loki be looked upon like this always?

[ all in good humor, of course. ] So tell me of you, my dear Sigyn.

[She thinks for a moment, staring into her goblet.] I'm afraid there isn't much to tell. I suppose it would be easier to ask you what you wish to know of me.

There are many different variations of me, you know. There is not definitive... canon, the word is I think? For me in this world, so people like my mun have to create me from scratch, in a way. The results are varied. Not much different from you, in that respect.

Perhaps I am challenging your mun. [ his smile gets a little more sly but he withdraws with a careless shrug. ]

I am not of this [ handwave ] canon. I am of the old Norse tales! [ he expresses this proudly ] So I think that even if I am represented and you are not, we are similar there hm? May it be Loki wants to know what Sigyn thinks is important of herself?
