So, you're going to send me into a game, at last. Route_29. The Pokémon game with Clara also being reserved. This should prove an interesting challenge, if not a little adventure along the way. I've never been in a game or actually met any Pokémon in real life. [Yes, he's more than a little excited at being reserved and with Clara.]

You're going to name all the Pokémon I catch after my companions? Seems a good choice. Perhaps, something water-y for River and maybe a Pokémon with long legs for Pond. A Deerling for Clara? I don't see why not. She's got big eyes like they have.

[Yep. His mun has thought of all these things already.]

No, it's Koschei, come back to torment you. [And she immediately breaks into a peal of laughter.] No, no, you had it right. D'you like it? Number five, or so it goes.

[The Corsair looks at the Doctor for a moment, sharp eyes jumping from his hair to his chin to his... bowtie? She snorts.] No curls on this one. Nothing but chin and hair! Which one are you now?

Yes, I think it suits you. Nice hair and eyes. [Because that's what he notices about you more.]

My chin isn't that big. Please. [Don't call him chinny, either. He hates that.] I'm number Eleven.

Heh. You old charmer. [The Corsair laughs again, amused more than anything else.] It felt like time for a change. Something a little more compact this time 'round.

Eleven! Goodness, you've been burning through them right quick, haven't you? [A sobering thought, really.] Still. Glad to see the High Council hasn't ground you underfoot, Doctor.

Yes, we are. [He put a friendly hand on her shoulder and noticed how shorter she was to him. At one time, they were roughly the same height. All those years ago.]

[At her comments, he just smiled. But then, reality hit home. Did she know about the Time War? The destruction of their beloved planet? All the Time Lords.....dead. He couldn't bring himself to mention that. Not now.]

[The Corsair puts a hand on top of his. Even with his young face and his funny chin, the Doctor's age shows through in that hand. The weight of it. And here she is, further down the timeline from him. Time is such a funny thing.]

[(Only four lives removed from a distant asteroid, from a distress signal, from a tap on his shoulder and oblivion.)]

Oh, really now? Well, color me interested, Doctor. And please. Tell me you've been keeping yours in good condition. They're fickle machines if you don't treat them right.

[He looked down at her hand over his and smiled. It felt good. He could feel the pulse under her thumb and felt two heart beats. He wasn't dreaming and knew that she was real. The Corsair.]

You don't know what it feels like to actually have another Time Lord right in front of me. I mean....you. The Corsair. I thought I was the last of my kind.

A Pokémon is a Japanese monster. Like a monster that you can fit in your pocket. Well, some of them, you can.

That is a good question. My mundane says Pokémon is derived from "Pocket Monsters." The idea being that the monsters are within a video game, concealed in the machine in your pocket. I think he said something about a "Game Boy." Do you know what one of those is?
