trickonometry: yeah, let's hope they never meet. (your Hera and my Hera should hang.)

mun is reading Mighty Avengers #21

Dude, chill. So Dr. Pym is smarter than me, big whoop. You don't see me cryin' in the corner, do ya? I can deal with being the eighth smartest person on Earth. Eighth is good.

I mean sure, Pym's an arrogant, whining @$$hole--[and selfish, obstinate, cowardly, and ANNOYING]--but dude. He made a door that can link to other points in space-time. I didn't see that coming. Me. But who knows? Maybe I was joking.

Besides, I'm sure it'll all go to hell before the arc is through. Then will you be happy?

[yes]

At least someone will.

... I'll get back to the other one, but

[personal profile] werethatgood 2014-11-05 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
... hey, Uncle Hank may be those things, but don't go insulting him in public, okay?

I mean... he's also a good man trying to do good things, okay?

[ Look, she's loyal. Even when she's not happy with people. >.> ]

And now you know why Cassie's not fond of Loki.

[personal profile] werethatgood 2014-11-06 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Except where it was Loki from the beginning. Ugh.

But, you know. Uncle Hank was the first person who gave my dad a chance. And then Uncle Tony. It matters, you know? Best laid plans can come to crap, but, sometimes, the little things...

You familiar with Nostalgia Critic at all?

[personal profile] soyoudonthaveto 2014-11-05 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
My mun's personally pissed at Edgar Wright and Marvel for shafting Hank for so long. It's to the point where he has half-brain to pretend the upcoming movie never happened if he can help it.

My Mun obviously needs to get a life!
soyoudonthaveto: (Default)

I really need to commit to RPing him in a game.

[personal profile] soyoudonthaveto 2014-11-05 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
My Mun thinks they should've either kicked Edgar off the project the moment he decided to make Hank a supporting character, or given him a kick in the rear and made him hurry up.
soyoudonthaveto: (Default)

Also, it'd be awesome for you to find a Hercules muse.

[personal profile] soyoudonthaveto 2014-11-05 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
My Mun was also pretty pissed about Hank losing his founding Avenger status AND being replaced by Iron Man as Ultron's creator (though he now thinks that Hank has a role in making Ultron after all).

All that'd leave for "iconic character traits", would be when he hit Janet.

To be fair he does that to everyone. Make people know he's smarter than they are.

It does sound like the sort of thing Pymie Boy would do. He treats me like a idiot half the time. I mean granted I don't have a Doctor Who level of science stuff but still.

...but I suppose he let me keep the awesome Ant Man armour so there's that in his favour.
irredeemed_ant: (Eric Got My Helmet)

[personal profile] irredeemed_ant 2014-11-06 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a...!

...ok, maybe I have a little bit. And I have no regrets about Ms Marvel. But whatever Pymie or Cassie has told you about me is likely overstated, dude.

Good point. I'm sure we're all done stupid stuff we regret, anyway.

You ever had the temptation to use your gifts irresponsibly? I mean not to take over the world or anything, just... well anyway.

Considering I used to be a SHIELD agent I should be terribly offended, but I suppose that shows some epic skills there. Though the fact you're more responsible now is probably a good thing.

You thought that SHIELD had killed your parents, right? That's what I heard, anyway.

[personal profile] irredeemed_ant 2014-11-12 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Epic skills never hurt.]

Well sorry you had a crap start in the biz, kid. I had my best friend die in front of me thanks to HYDRA so I guess I can relate.
irredeemed_ant: (Eric Hmmmmm)

[personal profile] irredeemed_ant 2014-11-12 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Maybe not that strong dude, but you're a better smart type than Reed or Hank is as far as Eric's concerned.]

I suppose we do, it's one of those death causing occupations. Anyway, short story is we're kicking ass now in our respective ways.
science_is_fun: (confused)

Couldn't resist

[personal profile] science_is_fun 2014-11-05 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Whining"? That's a new one. [Hank's gotten used to other versions of himself being described as arrogant jerks. He doesn't fit that description to his knowledge, but it's tough to gauge that sort of thing from your own perspective.]
science_is_fun: (concerned)

[personal profile] science_is_fun 2014-11-06 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
...Somehow, I doubt that was all there was to it. I'd never work with Reed Richards or several Avengers if that was the case. [It's hard to deny that Reed is the smartest person in any given room, regardless of what some people think; beyond him and Doom, it's a toss-up.]

Then again, it's hard to say for sure, since I don't recall meeting you or this Herc person before.

[personal profile] science_is_fun 2014-11-06 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes - it was me, Janet van Dyne, Tony Stark, Thor, and the Hulk. If you asked me a few months ago, I'd find it hard to believe that I'd be working with Tony again, let alone the Hulk and an advanced being that the Norse believed to be a god, but that's how things turned out.
science_is_fun: (hi ho Silver away!)

[personal profile] science_is_fun 2014-11-09 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't worry about that sort of thing. By my understanding, it's incredibly difficult to find two universes where events turn out exactly the same.

Pleasure to meet you, Amadeus. What field do you study? [He's not entirely sure that he buys the "eighth smartest person on the planet" claim, but he likes that enthusiasm.]
