I can think of thousands of better spendings of my time than anything that you have ideas for.

Like copying over the entire library in Masyaf or teaching a cat to be a reliable messenger.

Novices as a whole are skittish and balk at the sight of blood. Last time I checked, I am not known for either.

They too fail to realize that their actions have repercussions within the Order, that their sheer existence not the greatest gift to those around them.

Which is not something to be proud of! Your own Brothers being afraid you will kill them in their sleep or spirit them away from their homes is something you should be trying to change through displays of action that give them confidence in your willingness to help them!
