[And someone else is just going to flail a bit and nearly suffocate. ...Of course by the time the initial theatrics are over, Ruby is going to keep a strong grip on her sister.]
Hey, Uncle Qrow showed up, so... it's all good. I know you didn't intend for anything bad to happen, and you couldn't just leave me alone, so... don't worry about it, okay?
Have a random unrelated muse, just couldn't resist sending him at her though
I personally want to make my name in history as a great swordsman-blacksmith. Making my own wonderful weapons to surpass my opponents. Of course helping those in need and saving the world along the way doesn't hurt either.
Um... sort of? Kind of depends on the quantity and type.
[She digs around in her hip-pouch, pulling a clip out, and then singling out a bullet and unscrewing part of the casing, emptying out a red crystalline powder into her hand.]
This is fire dust. When fired, the dust ignites, increasing the speed that the bullet is fired at.
[She busies herself with scooping the stuff back into the bullet as she talks.]
Dust can be used for all sorts of things, and most commonly, is used to draw out a person's semblence. Like... the manifestation of a person's soul or... something.
[Once the bullet is replaced, she sets her eyes on the hammer, and starts flitting around it at rather impressive speed, trying to examine it from all sides with eyes the size of dinner plates.]
Interesting. I might have to get some to put into one of my weapons.
[He smiles as she looks over the weapon, mission accomplished on improving her mood it seems.]
I haven't shown you the best part yet. Stand back.
[He waits until she is out of range and then slams the hammer down. Metal blades lower down from the side and circle around almost like fan blades. Even from this distance Ruby would feel the air around her trying to pull her in closer. Rod wouldn't let it last that long for that to happen though. He stopped the blades and they went back into place.]
Get too close and Black Tornado will throw you into the air and throw off your defenses.
[Once the wind dies down a bit, she goes in for another up close and personal examination.]
That's so cool! I actually have a friend that uses a hammer that's also a grenade launcher. The grenades fire from the face of the hammer, and she can use the explosions to increase her mobility as well as increasing the damage she does. Kinda like me and Crescent Rose in that regard.
Yeah, it's something they teach us early on in school. With the monsters we fight, we have to be able to engage from any range, so we have to learn how to do close range and long range, and how to use them together... for instance...
[She moves and pulls Crescent Rose from it's spot in the ground, turning the weapon so that the blade faces straight up. She places her boot on the blade and pushes a button, firing a round into the ground and launching her high into the air. She proceeds to swing the scythe around, firing at certain points to keep herself aloft long after she should've come down, and when she does finally come down, she does so with the grace of a dancer, the weapon laid across her shoulders.]
[Oh, hey, Ruby it's that visiting Haven student you ran into that one time. She tilts her head and... well, her expression might be called sympathetic. If you squint. But not really.]
no subject
so have an awkward pat on your shoulder. just one, though. ]
Weren't those doilies great?
[ SO GOOD AT THIS. ]
no subject
They were. I just wish I could've enjoyed them without feeling like I was going to fall flat on my face.
Seriously, how do you fight in those... lady stilts!?
no subject
Heels, Ruby. They're called heels.
[ a lofty toss of her hair. ]skill, of course. [ aka years of practice wearing heels because everyone else is taller than you hmph ]
no subject
Ugh... I have enough issues with just my boots...
[Or, you could have a massive weapon like Ruby does.]
whoa html thanks a lot
Fortunately for this, this is just one night. You'll never have to see such monstrosities again.
It hates you. KILL IT. :|
If I survive that long.
kills it with fire!!
Surely you can stand still.
YES! GOOD!
But I don't WANT to stand still... I want to at least walk around and talk, even if I can't dance.
no subject
Then you're just going to have to learn as you go.
no subject
...wait... what? You're not... actually going to make me dance, are you?
no subject
no. ]
What did you expect to do at a dance?
no subject
[Weiss, really, you don't want to go down this road if you value your dignity and feet.]

We'll find her, sis... I promise.
no subject
Hey, I know that! This isn't worrying about me though, you're the one being mopey.
no subject
[She just shakes her head a bit, putting on a brave face.]
I'm fine, sis. Really. The important thing is Blake is taking better care of herself now.
no subject
[Yang looks so proud of herself.]
no subject
Yeah, you were right, sis. I'm proud of you.

Have a random unrelated muse, just couldn't resist sending him at her though
[He has some deep issues in regards to that.]
When I think about it I usually just try to focus on my dream that drives me.
\o/ More the merrier~
[She draws her knees up, hugging Crescent Rose for a moment.]
That's why I want to be a Huntress. To make the world a better place... just like my parents.
He is a man after Ruby's own heart though
[He eyes the weapon curiously.]
I personally want to make my name in history as a great swordsman-blacksmith. Making my own wonderful weapons to surpass my opponents. Of course helping those in need and saving the world along the way doesn't hurt either.
How does he feel about cookies? :3
[Her eyes light up at the sound of making weapons to save the world.]
That sounds so cool! I've only ever really made one weapon, but... Crescent Rose is my pride and joy.
[She stands, the massive gun-scythe unfolding as she hefts it effortlessly onto her shoulder.]
Well I know he appreciate a home cooked meal so fresh cookies probably fit that
Now that is really something. I get why she is your pride and joy.
[Feel the weapon-envy Ruby, feel it.]
I still have to improve. I want to make the best weapons in the world after all. I'd love to test my creations against your Crescent Rose sometime.
Woot woot~!
I kinda went overboard when designing her. She's a highly customizable, high impact sniper rifle fit to fire all kinds of dust-infused rounds.
no subject
[He certainly wouldn't mind putting that into some of his weapons.]
Though I do have my own pride and joy. She's a water craft though so unless there's a body of water around here I couldn't show her to you.
I guess I should show you one of my weapons at least though.
[With that he digs around and brings out a hammer whose blunt end is almost taller than Ruby herself.]
This is Black Tornado.

I admit I don't know a lot about projectile weapons though. My old man was a pretty famous swordsman so I know more about melee combat.
I did make a weapon that could shoot pressurized spheres of water, but I found out pretty quickly it wasn't exactly practical.
[Meaning he got the snot kicked out of him by a friend about five times.]

That was amazing! I might have to make something new before I face off against you.
[Honestly he's happy to have someone to challenge him. Both in fighting and blacksmithing.]
no subject
Thanks. My uncle taught me how to do stuff like that. Before he gave me private lessons, I was so klutzy I could barely manage a normal sword.
no subject
[He shrugs.]
I will be interested to see if I can make something to match against your Crescent Rose.

and totally not the person who shot fire at her and Glynda... TOTALLY!]Y-yeah... it's... just something I have to live with, I guess. I mean... being a Huntress is a dangerous job...
