Reaction to that latest episode
Yes, Mundane, I share your concern for Miss Belladonna's mental state... yet I know all too well how she feels. We are in the eye of a storm that's been brewing for generations, and it seems that storm is about to unleash its wrath.
I have the utmost faith in my students and my allies, and just hope that the dance can serve as a much needed morale boost to all. With recent events being what they are... we could all use the distraction.
[There's a pause as the mun asks something.]
I fully intend to be present at the dance, yes. It is simply a matter of taking care of my responsibilities beforehand. The revelation that Torchwick and the White Fang have infiltrated Atlasian supply lines and siphoned off military grade hardware has produced... a lot of paperwork, to put it lightly.
[Another pause.]
Yes, Professor Goodwitch will be at the dance, along with the rest of Beacon's faculty. As much as I trust my students in battle, they are still teenagers. ...As the incident at the beginning of the semester drove home. And no, I do not know what she will be wearing. That is hardly my business.

[He swallows down the lump in his throat, his tone becoming grave.]
Is there going to be....a buffet?
no subject
[He has a bit of a wry smirk.]
Yes. Professor Goodwitch has also had a talk with the cafeteria staff. There will be no leeks, baguettes, turkeys, watermelon, swordfish or sausage links. The drinks will be served in paper cups.
[Siiiiiiip.] And Professor Goodwitch will be chaperoning the event.

Thank you.
[A beat.]
Just one more thing. Could the clinic staff be ready with some stomach medicine? I fell Nora might try to eat everything at once and get a stomach ache.
no subject
Of course. All faculty and staff will be available should any of their skills be necessary.

[ she gives him a bland smile. ]
What do you think?
no subject
I would hope you wear more than just that, Glynda.
no subject
ozpin did you really just... ]
Aren't you feeling brave today?
no subject
Someone needs to.

[He cares about his kids. Even if he can't intervene directly.]

Some of the "more important" risks?
[ not that her tone implies she disagrees; indeed, she seems more curious than anything.
do you remember this is a combat school, ozpin... ]

Luckily, I've always been surrounded by people that could either compensate for that moment's indiscretion, or spur me onward. Huntsmen and Huntresses are not allowed the luxury of regrets.
no subject
Regrets, that is.
no subject
In a way, I do not even regret my regrets, if that makes any sense.

I suppose, given all that you've done, you can't afford to.
