Why are you so sad over something stupid like that? Am I the only one who has any sense to realize that now of all times, is not a proper time for a dance?
Our enemies could be marching on our school and no one would do anything.
...Oh please, he didn't look THAT sad. I'm sure he's fine. It is just a stupid dance.
At least Pyrrha seems to be keeping her skills up enough to be a good Huntress..

Oh, yeah. She's top-notch, alright! Couldn't land a single solid hit.

...What?
no subject
Nothing. Nothing at all.
I'm just waiting for you to drop flat on your face from exhaustion.
no subject
I'm not exhausted. I've been sleeping just fine.

Besides, I wouldn't be so quick to bring up persistent blonde boys, if I were you.

[Rolls her eyes
baggage and all.] Sun's a big boy. I'm sure he has a line of girls after him.no subject
Whatever you say.

We're getting off track, the point is: this isn't the time to worried over a ridiculous dance when greater things are in movement.
no subject
[ she clicks her tongue impatiently. ]
Yes, I heard you the first five times, Blake. We all did. But what do you want us to do? We have no leads.
no subject
Then we're not looking in the right places. Or we're not thinking outside of the box or there's something so plain right before us that we're NOT seeing. [It's maddening.]
no subject
which is probably not a good thing. ]
Blake — we're still students. You're putting waaay too much pressure on yourself — and your team! — to figure out the plans of some criminal mastermind.
And even if we did have a lead? There's no way any of us are letting you near that man in the state you're in.

I'm not tired, I still had my peace of mind however shattered the peace might be.
[ooc: sun no this huuurts aiosfjd]no subject
You look like you haven't slept in days.
[ooc: it's destroying me.]no subject
Don't be ridiculous. I've slept fine. [Maybe an hour in the past week but eh it was an okay nap.]
[OOc: me too omg ;w; I keep trying to find our old threads so read the happy stuff cause I need it.]no subject
You don't look it. I'm surprised you are still standing.
[ooc: dfjsfhds happy things to balance it out would be good. ;;]no subject
No, the dance is the last thing I need.
I'm standing just fine. [Yeah sure, she has luggage under her eyes and her movements are slower than normal by a LOT.]
[ooc: lemme know if you see any memes you'd like to do to counterbalance the sads ;w;]no subject
In my opinion, you should give your team a chance, Miss Belladonna. They have your best interests at heart.
no subject
They may have my best interest, but they do not what's coming. None of us do! That kind of unpreparedness isn't going to matter if another one of those Paladins, or an ARMY of them, comes crashing down on us.
no subject
I know it's not what you want to hear, Blake, but in this particular chess game, whoever makes the first move, loses. We are preparing. I have not simply turned a blind eye.
Please, get some rest. When Torchwick and his companions move, we will all need to stand together. As Huntsmen and Huntresses. Running yourself ragged only puts yourself, and your team, at risk.
I'm not as unaware as you think, Blake.
no subject
Yes.
Chess.
no subject
Blake, please, get some rest. If not for yourself, for your team. They care and worry about you. Your team isn't just a team. The four of you are sisters as much as you are friends and teammates. I was lucky enough to have a similar dynamic with my team when I was your age... do not take that bond lightly, Blake.
They will stand with you for the rest of your life, but you must take care of yourself for their sake as well.
[You can almost hear the lectures Glynda has given him over the years about how drinking too much coffee can be bad for your health.]

However, even after having gone without sleep for much of the end of the Human-Covenant war, his visor looks concerned at the shadows over her eyes. As his mentor stated once, "sleep is as much of a weapon".]
... You need to sleep.
no subject
I'm fine.
I get plenty of sleep so I don't know what the sudden obsession with my sleeping habits are about.
no subject
[An ability that cannot afford to be diminished while reading, let alone while on the battlefield.]
Believe me. That won't help.
no subject
I reiterate, my sleeping habits are fine. I've just been reading more and lose track of time.
no subject
But in place of saying this, he points with two fingers at his own visor where his eyes should be to remark about the bags in Blake's eyes.]
no subject
[ A pause, then a small smile. ]
I want to nail him just as bad as you do. He punched me through a pillar. But you can't do that if you're dead on your feet, partner.
no subject
[She just stares with a drawn out sigh.]
I'm fine. And we're all going to get our punches in on that jerk.
no subject
[ You do realise you're talking to someone who grew up with Ruby? She can do the persistent thing pretty well. ]
I'm not above knocking you out and tying you to your bed you know? It wouldn't really be all that hard with the state you're in...
Crossing canons to impart some sage and valuable advice
Kid, take it from somebody who's been where you are right now more than once, you're not going to be doing anything about enemies if you're dead on your feet when they show up.
Go. To. Sleep.
