About her mun's lack of confidence

Ma'am, I'm aware this is not your first language but giving up on me only because my application as rejected for poor grammar is... ridicolous. Take a deep breath and give it another try, the more you practice the better your writings will be.

Argh... are you even listening?

You're right, of course, but don't bother. My mundane wallows in her self-pity and low self-esteem, and nothing I say gets through to her.

However, she advises yours to read English literature, as well.

Advice for your Mun. Keep at it, practice, let folk know that it's not your native tongue and they'll likely be more understanding. English is a hard language. Take some comfort in the fact that many native speakers butcher it beyond recognition in their day to day lives. If you're making yourself understood, you're doing a good job.

Advice for you. Don't let them give up on you. If they try to do so, yell, shout and fight until your voice is heard. Make them understand that their stumbling blocks aren't your fault. Then, even if you fail, you'll know you didn't go quietly.
